I half agree with this. You're right in that we're not the club we once were, but acceptance of that is not the way to regain it. Only by continuing to expect the best - even when we're not getting it - will we retain the will to get back to the top.
Accepting second best is like accepting defeat.

He didn't say we should accept it, he said we need to realise it's reality and we need to do something to change it

And what are we doing while pretending to be the big lads?

    Lovren, klavan, mingolet, karius, Henderson.

They all arrive and are bestowed with worldie status cos we look st them.

You didn't just sign them and give them the opportunity to play at the fabled Anfield. You gave these mugs contract extensions.

Nah. I don't divide players - or clubs - into one of two categories: world class or ****.

Nah, it's the club that's "worldie", these days it's based on history, financial power and size of fan base etc, players come and go but the shirt and the shirt number will always belong to the club.<whistle>

    And here we have it...

Which club is bigger NOW? Which club is more consistent over last ten years.

Which club has the most trophies over 10 years....

    Hmmm..

Which club IS building a massive stadium?

Oh yeah but lfc history makes us world class.

Reality is neither club is up to much on the level we pretend to be at.

Until we admit it and work to fix it we will always be this way.

Lime how the **** have fsg got away with stating they ain't bothered to build a stand to bring capacity at least in line with other English clubs when said stand costs less than one player we were reputedly after... and to justify it by stating it makes no business sense.

    Explain that.

Explain how we can think ragbar klavan is even a midtable prem standard cb?

Or how we thought Milner at lb was genius.

Or how we managed to go last year with zero cover up top for wide areas and have gone into this season how we have....

What have Spurs won since our last cup win?, Have Spurs become more financially powerful than us in the last decade blah blah blah.

CL qualification and finishing 2nd means nothing, as we well know.:emoticon-0100-smile

Mito, the game is about winning as well as beautiful football...yeah?

So....Spurs flatter to decieve, would you be happy being a spud right now as opposed to being a red?

    I would hope not..

There's much of a difference... really? Both clubs are also fans but then again spurs are more professional but serial bottlers while we are pure amateur hour.

It depends what annoys you more.

Moshiri promised to keep their best players, invest in the squad, and build a new stadium

He's sold their best players, invested no more than Kenwright in the squad, and saddled them with a lifetime mortgage on the proposed stadium

They've also gone backwards in performances and points since he's taken over

If they didn't give in to being #deluded they'd have to cry

What's par? Last season no one (else) expected us to get top 4. And now we have more points than last season from the same fixtures.
