But we like to play with 3 CB's and had only 2 who have played CB at about this level before, available by the time the window was closing - Ned and arguably Baptiste. None of the others Hall, Lynch, Perch or Caulker are yet available, and only Lynch has started training according to the write above here somewhere. That is putting a hell of a lot of faith in the 2 fit ones staying fit ( Ned didn't), untried youngsters at this level Paul and Hamalainen (CB?), and Robinson who didn't look at all comfortable at CB a couple of nights ago, and anyone else who may have to play out of position there. Yet we had the funds to bring in 2 more wingers close to the deadline. Don't make much sense to me, but well yes We are QPR.

The BBC article simply says that both parties failed to reach a satisfactory arrangement, which doesn't necessarily mean it was about dosh. At 38 years young I'd imagine the Clintosaurus is looking to play as much as possible before he becomes extinct, which might be the real reason why terms were not agreed. Perhaps Rangers couldn't guarantee him game time. He needs to speak nicely to that Dutchman in Northants.

See... considering our current injury crisis and lack of other free transfer options, and also considering the fact that the deal wouldn't have made us bankrupt, I really wonder why we didn't make the deal ourselves.
