Well, I said Ipswich would be stubborn and they were, we seem to grind that one out but we persevered. We need to get back to our former fast paced football, which is why we got top of CC. Good win, not a great win but we got the 3 points......
I see the Wallies couldn't keep up the momentum after their lucky win over the Champions elect last week, if only they could raise their game when they play the little clubs they may win something
Well played Lads We were beaten by a better team. I'm pleased that at least we kept the soreline respectable. Good luck and please beat those Budgie ****ers!
Looking forward to hearing from those that went, big crowd but sound was not good on the Mac, good atmosphere in the stadium and thoughts of you lot that could see the whole pitch
Really tough game Tuesday. Not happy with the sloppiness today. Can't do that against Bardiff. I sit next to a Bardiff fan at work - not sure I'm looking forward to Wednesday morning....
Think you are being a bit tough on your team, played well for me and McGoldrick looks a real competitor.
As every time I'd had a customer and stopped listening Ipswich scored by stoppage time when the customer came in I just pretended it was a hearing aid and kept listening.... Top of the League!
I'm pleased with the way we hung in there but gutted when we conceded so quickly after we equalised. If we keep playing with the same belief then we could surprise a few people this season.
your boys dug in Warky, but as you said before just lack that bit of quality ... Ipswich need a playmaker and a goalscorer and they'll be a real threat ... this was an important win against a determined McCarthy outfit, they were always going to fight to the death ... Leeds passed the test today, just need to work back a little bit more when we don't have the ball ... the way Leeds pressed against Forest was excellent, more of that and we'll be fine ... Tommy's boys have the quality to score goals, add 90 minutes of concentration and graft and a promotion push is realistic ... Ipswich will take points off a lot of teams this season, and they may well get into the top six shake up, but a lot will depend on the depth in their squad ... three more points on the board, another serious examination awaits at Cardiff, who like Millwall seem to be a bit of a hoodoo but they can be beaten fcuk Millwall
You'll be up there come the end of the season Johnny, got a soft spot for Ipswich and the great Bobby Robson, ****ing hate your six fingered inbred neighbours though, ****s
That game convinced me a little today that I still think by the time our team settles a bit more Pontus and Pennington will probably be our strongest CB pair and Vieira needs to fight his way into that team. We'll be much better for it. Anyway, I honestly expected us to drop points here before the game so I'm happy with the 3 points. I do think however opposing teams are figuring out that bullying saiz and alioksi is a must against us. They need to learn how to deal with it better. I also think playing Hernandez and saiz in the same team against teams who fight like that is risky. They are both luxury players and it's ok against teams who wanna pass it around but we need a little more width and pace sometimes
