"And we of Spurs have set our sights very high" That is what is now expected of Alli. To maintain or improve on his current level. Are we going to be soft on Kane if he doesn't score another 20+ PL goals this season, because he did so the three seasons before ?? Not at all.
Plus, Carroll should have seen a straight red for his blatant dive. I hope that FA panel is going to do its job and retrospectively ban the twat. Anyone got a clip of it? It was truly outrageous.
If you're talking about the jump at the far post, it looked more like a push from Big Dave..... could easily have been given!
I thought Aurier was superb! He's the kind of "hard dirty bastard" player that we have been sorely lacking. Yes, we'll walk a tightrope with him in some games, but he's just the kind of player that we needed against the Spanners, who tend to bully us into a loss. Because we had Aurier on the pitch for 70 minutes, we are the ones who did the bullying. Sometimes, you have to win dirty.
No way! Sorry, but it was a clear dive from Carroll. If someone has the footage, you'll see exactly what I mean.
I was with my eldest watching the match at the local TORY BASTARDS club. It's insulting to us to call them conservatives EDIT Spurf
You are allowed here only to recharge batteries (to enable immediate return to the PL board to continue the good fight against the Spurs haters) .
That is true, my friend. PNP and SD pop up once in a while - and their presence in the Mosh Pit is always welcomed. Brother Spurly, of course, always has my back; but it is, nevertheless, a hard battle. This is my haven. My retreat into proper and intelligent debate. I value the little time that I get to spend here; truly, I do.
It was analyzed at length after the game and even Ready Steady Teddy said it was a push. Just looked exaggerated as Carroll was in the air when contact made. I'm the last one to give any ground to the Spammers, but in this case cannot ignore the obvious!
Was driving so missed the match. We were aware were we not of Aurier's suspect temperament? What happened exactly?
Iffy first booking but went to ground for the secong and took leg rather than ball. Cant complain but saved us in the first half with a similar tackle in front of goal which was executed perfectly. He will learn. No probs.
Choose from one of the following: 1. Gave a fully committed performance trying to impress in his first PL game, but let his enthusiasm get the better of him and a few poor decisions (and one very soft booking) saw him get sent off. Or 2. He ran around like a deranged idiot, often out of position, virtually asking Oliver to send him off! Might be somewhere in the middle......
Did not know Pochettino took the squad + coaching staff out for a group dinner the other day. Opinions on that (other than sartorial choices and facial barber regimes) ??
