Really like Arthur Mcbride in the 3:10 to beat the Couer De Lion, CDL should win but 4/1 is a crap price for a race like this. Happy with the 12's for Arthur, won very well last week. Really hope my boy can get back to winning ways in the 2 15 @ newbs and then back to Ascot we go! Hopefully with Cox being in tremendous form lately he's got another big winner incoming and MDB back to it's best
Today actually could be his day Chel - I certainly hope so as I have sixpence each way on this As always, my picks are the same as in the comp ... namely: Newmarket 2-00 City of Joy 2-35 Vuela 3-10 Coeur de Lion Newbury 2-15 My Dream Boat ew 2-50 James Garfield 3-25 Silver Ghost ew 4-00 Caspian Prince ew Hard to get away from talking horse Coeur de Lion, Vuela looks the pick of a tricky handicap and I give James Garfield the nod over Invincible Army in the Mill Reef Good luck all
Such a shame that the Ayr meeting is abandoned. Have turned attentions to Newburys card where I like two.. 2.50pm - Grand Koonta 14/1 each way 4.00pm - Muthmir - 11/2 each way
I can understand the love for Coeur de Lion in the Ces trial but I think dear old Sternrubin could lead them a merry dance here. Smashing horse who never knows when he is beaten and 2m2f with a bit of juice should be right up his street
Poor ride from Harley on Invincible Army? He was cantering all over the field 2 out but then Harley unbalanced the horse by running him into a closing gap and then switching around the eventual winner. The jockey could have navigated a much more straightforward course. No money on him but I think it was a poor ride.
I don't know that he was going any better than the winner Oddy, who himself was given a stout shoulder charge as he was making his run As I had the fc I'm quite happy with Martin Harley Ok - it's Coeur de Lion time next
Fidaawy should have won that. Jockey had to stop riding and then switched and finished like a train to get second (I think). Very unlucky and one for the notebook.
