Wonder what the atmosphere in and around Chelsea's Ladies team is like currently? Don't Aluko and Spence (who criticised Sampson) both play for them, as well as 3 or 4 of the England Ladies team that mobbed him after scoring a goal during the Russia game.
I don't think he is guilty but it is understandable that you think I think he is, as he would put it.
Stella ? OK the Stella in Belgium is better than over here but there are 100's of better beers in Belgium
That's fair comment. I think I watch more of/follow women's football a bit more than most, so I'm not coming into this fresh. I've always found Sampson a bit odd and found his interviews a bit unsettling. None of which makes him guilty, of course. I've found what he's said on this subject unusual. He obviously believes he's done nothing wrong. But there still seems to be something there, based in small part on what he's said (see 'understandable' comments earlier in thread). Yeah, I'd agree with that. Though Sampson has still been more vocal on the subject in interviews than I thought he'd be. As I say above, he's said a couple of things in interviews I've seen that made me think there is probably something there. What, I don't know. And, as alluded to above, that could be because he's weird in interviews. Arrogant, abrasive, confident and various other things. Generally traits that you'd think would make a good football manager!
I think this will be an interesting one to watch unfold, although I would imagine the FA would rather do everything in private. What we need is a good investigative journalist...
Shagging a player, over the age of 18, in a consensual relationship that lasted 6 months & over socialising with players is alledgedly what got him the boot from his England role. Getting over familiar with Bristol City Bristol Cities, so to speak. The FA need a bomb under it, they're ****ing pathetic.
Exactly; he was only a young man and they were all enjoying life - which of us wouldn't have done the same. He wasn't sacked for a good reason, it wasn't a sacking offence - in fact, despite the pathetic politically correct adjustment training, it wasn't an offence at all. That leaves him with the Aluko construction; looking forward to seeing that unravel.
