Not peed off bud just not pleased with tactics and players against the wall.its no big deal as we are a new team now.so we have had a great start abd tommy now needs to prove himself with his selections.
For me the burnley game is nothing if we lose no big deal.the league is the only thing on my mind.
Every home game is a big game at elland road this season.so we dont need a big team at home to generate some money.

Agree with most of what you say Doc,

The way we were travelling it was only a matter of time when some teams will be looking at how to stop us. I'm not convinced Millwall did what was necessary to stop us, what helped them was the dismall way we played, after all, it took'em 73 minutes to break our defence, who, like every player was having an unusual bad game.

I think Ristac hit nail on head when he said it's a bit unusual to have the whole team (Weinwald probably an exception) having an off day, no one shined, and we managed one shot all game; let's be honest, based on how we attacked, shot and scored in previous games, it was very very unusual, and attracts a somewhat big question mark??????

With the whole team having an off day brings it back to team selection and tactics, there's not much else unless tea lady has been told to put bromide in tea.

Team selection, TC said he knew what to expect, but didn't pick the team to try and combat what he said he was expecting. Berardi should've been in from start, this was the type of game he thrives on; Anita, at the very least should've been off at half time, he was being taken apart and given the run around by the Mllwall winger.

We lost it in midfield, Millwall controlled it, Vieira and Klich would've been a better selection imo, we desperately needed Klich's special defence splitting passes, cos the other players passes were way off the mark.although hard to pick before hand, Phillips shouldn't have started, not strong enough for a Millwall game, he was playing the same game as Millwall most of time, hoofball, he was out jumped and his passing was well below par. O'Kane just seemed to be scared to do anything.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed, but Pontus seems to be playing a different game to the way he played last season, he doesn't seem to be the "up and at'em, " player he was last season. He reminds me of the BA Baracus character in the new A Team film after he found God; let's hope he wakes up like B A did.

Tactics, what were the tactics, team selection is part of tactics, and so is how we play the game, there didn't seem to be any tactics, or, the players were given different instructions, we had one anywhere bound shot all game, way way way off par for us, just looked like we were trying to walk it into net, like last season.

I think TC got the subbing wrong imo, midfield is where it needed strengthening and changing, as well as at LB, Berardi must've been chomping at bit to get on pitch.

Let's all hope the embarrassment shakes all the players up and TC has learned a lot.

Alioski has played a lot of games, close together the last few weeks, two over the International break, Saiz has played virtually every game, twice a week, with only the break as a rest period, same for Hernandez. I agree with Ristac, a bit harsh pointing the finger at them when the whole team played like a bunch of granny's on Lucozade.

Not impressed with Grot at moment, granted he's come off bench late in games, but he hasn't done nothing to make anyone stand up and take notice.

I agree Doc, I think TC will play a strong first eleven against Burnley, not only for the reasons you gave, for players to redeem themselves, but for TC to also redeem himself and show his worth. Psychologically, a loss can have a devastating effect on players and team, like it did after Monks atrocious Sutton game. Two losses on trot will not be a confidence booster or be a spirit raiser going in against Ipswich, and Ipswich will do their homework on our game against Millwall.

With a strong first eleven, with maybe two changes in midfield, and one at LB, I reckon we can beat Burnley 2-1 or 3-1, providing we get back to the way we played our previous games, before Millwall. We're on top at moment, and we need to stay on top.......I'm going to have a beer, which I just nicked off Shaks......ssssshhhhhh, don't tell him.....<cheers>

Ristac & LL make a point about it being unusual for almost everyone to have a bad day all at the same time. I may have an answer to that: When a machine breaks down, its because of 1 faulty part that breaks, which in turn affects every other part. I have been impressed with the way our team have played and have actually been an organised team. Which player broke down which affected the rest is the real question for TC to answer. When a team is organised and everyone does their job, the job Tommy asked them to do, if one person fails it means the player linked to him fails to do his job and so on?

Just seen Dallas being interviewed and he says the players want to make up for the Wall defeat tomoz, football isnt all about Wood, Taylor & Wood will want to do well against us and we want to show them they were wrong to leave......

I think we should play to win all games, Burnley will be much easier to play against than Millwall. We should get more time on the ball and if we play as well as we did against Sunderland and Forest a good result is on the cards.

Tommy did the right thing with his selection against Grimey Cnuts, it was the only way for those players to learn about playing against hoofing thugs ... it was also a good learning curve for Tommy and his staff, and I'm sure they will address the issues ... there is a good lesson here for the club, key is they use it
