He may have improved but he only lasted 55mins and gave the ball away more often than he made a pass. He is not good enough for our first team and should not be a starter. IMO he shouldn't even be on the bench either but playing for the U23's. Not only does he lose the ball and concede possession but he doesn't close anyone down in defence.

At his current level he is a liability and we shouldn't be training him in the first team.

Great result! I think you're being a little harsh on Sanches stumpy, he was the only player that was capable of getting us out today. He's still a bit rusty because he's had so little first team football over the past year. I think we'll see his quality when we play teams at our level. The tactics today made it extremely difficult for our midfield so you can't judge or be too critical today. The whole team give it their all.

We kept them out for 90+ mins, rode our luck at times, but kept our shape and discipline throughout. These are the sorts of games we would have lost under previous managers, but PM does have us more organised. The team was set up to keep them out and we did that....the team deserves some praise but that's clearly a challenge for some.

Sanches had his best game but he was playing with a very bad team. Spurs give us a point at the end of the day with their inability to master the wembley pitch....They should have won that by 6 goals at the very least. It was men against boys or Premiership against a Div2 side.....We were awful..

I doubt that there were many people on the planet who got the score correct.
A remarkable rearguard action, and I am very happy to have my forecast proven wrong.

Fair enough but if the only way we get to stay in the league is with a SuperMonk approach I really can't see the point.
It's one thing to play like gang when there is no option but it appears to be our 'go to' approach.

What was Clement doing, putting Routledge on and going for the win? I nearly had a seizure <laugh>

Three away games, no goals conceded.

Now to win at home ...

I too thought Sanchez was much better today than last week. Still no minutes for Mesa either.

We remain 3 points behind Spurs and Liverpool, 1 point behind Arsenal and 1 point in front of Everton (and their 150Million spending spree)

Awful just plain Awful.....No game plan, players playing as individuals and not as a team....If that is the best Clem can do with this bunch then we are in serious trouble.....We have always played good at Wembley but that was poor football from start to finish and we are fortunate to come away with a point...

Great defensive display obviously worked on in training and far better result than most of us expected. One great though ball by Sanches which nearly put our player in in goal. Showed his frustration when twice unmarked in a shooting position but not given the ball.

Just got home, I love going to Wembley we always come away with something. We set up to frustrate them and take the point and we executed the plan. The only frustrating point was that in the second half we gave the ball away too often. Although at times Spurs seemed clueless as to how to break us down and walking back to the underground lots of moans that they didn't really change their style of play. So I would say PC won the management battle.

I thought Sanches played much better today and looks to have so much time on the ball. Once he gets used to the PL and to the Swans I think he will be a big asset to us. I also think Bony will start next Saturday after a run out against Reading in the cup on Tues.

It was tense at time but despite Dai's view, which he is entitled to have, I thought we played well today and VdH had a good game as I know he is a favourite on here :emoticon-0105-wink:. You cant argue with no goals conceded away from home and if only we hadn't let ourselves down last week.

Expected a hiding, clemo had the same fear i think. We dont have a proper attack set up to speed yet but it should come so he played defensive with bony to come in if we went behind, though he brought him on later which showed a change of intent to attack cos spurs wernt doing the biz on us that we expected ?

Our defence was awsome and fab was motm for me, they gave full effort today which was great .
A draw against one of the top teams and with Dean reffing not to badly for us for a change at our lucky Wembley hunting ground will do considering the battering i expected us to get today.

100% happy for fighting effort and defence
Not much for the attacking part that will come though imo, the late dealing with siggy didnt help and not much strengthening in depth where routs coming on still makez me nervous with him shipping free kicks all over the shop while leon cant get on !

    Vital point for later maybe.

I agree with Fab as MoM - 1st time in 30 home league games that Spurs have failed to score. After suffering watching the 5-0 performance at WHL last season this was much better.
