We are pretty dire at the mo, so if they have an important game three days after they play us, I would suggest that it helps.
WTF Madrid Player missed Champions League game due to infection from shaving leg. https://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/european/real-madrid-marco-asensio-miss-champions-league-shave-legs-infected-pimple-apoel-nicosia-a7944431.html?amp
Maybe he'll be so ridiculed in Spain he'll angle to a move to us in January. Exactly the player we need!
Who do we suport in this season's EL? Arsene Wenger is prepared to play a mix of first team squad and fringe players in this tournament so it is difficult to support them with this attitude. I have no real love nor hate for Everton so not bothered what they do. Living in Spain, I want all the La Liga teams to do well. I also have a soft spot for Maccabi Tel Aviv. It would be wonderful if Maccabi went all the way and won the trophy. So for me it is any Spanish and Israeli team.
https://www.theguardian.com/football/2017/sep/13/graham-taylor-sexual-abuse-cover-up-aston-villa Alleged cover up of sexual abuse by Villa coach. I can imagine sweeping it under the carpet in the 70s and 80s....employers (inc the church) wanting to deal internally without publicity....especially as it would be one person's word against another's. And the advice to a boy about it being bad for them personally with abuse from the terraces would have been seen as sensible.....after all, fans aren't known for their intelligence even now. The obvious problem with this method of dealing with it is that the accused can move on and be employed elsewhere Another problem is that the truth can be hard to ascertain so long after the event....this can work against the honest accuser and against the falsely accused.
Wenger practically admits he's not interested in the Europa League. Plays a second string bringing in Sanchez, Giroud and Walcott. sigh
Koeman bought Nikola Vlasic after playing Hajduk Split in the qualifiers. Will he now buy the Atalanta front 3 after playing them?
20,000 ticketless Germans surrounding the stadium. Don't mention the war! I did once but I think I got away with it!
There's upto 20,000 German fans in London, they brought Oxford Street to a standstill earlier ...and apparently there's a large amount trying to gain access to the ground with out tickets which isn't so funny. Can see there being big trouble there later.
Arsenal v Cologne delayed for an hour because 20,000 Cologne fans have turned up for the match. Idiots.
