Think all three in the center would leave Hayden to play the defensive role. I'd just tell him to get the ball to one of Shelvey and Merino as soon, and simply, as possible. Once Hayden runs, we're all ****ed.
I know there'd be a bigger gap between strike and Mid but both can move forward at will. Shelves was playing a similar role throughout pre-season. Merino looks capable of doing the same, bar his comical diving skills

Basically a 4-1-4-1 formation. I have been wondering if Rafa might play this way since he did it on occasion last season. We haven't exactly got loads of back up for injuries and suspensions in that formation though.

I think it might be worth trying against the bigger teams, because we're just guna be chasing the ball all game and will need sweeping passes to quick wingers for any counter to occur.
Like you say it's concerning that one injury would mean either Colback or Diame might have to come in. Talk about choosing between **** and ****.

Its bollocks - he could be binging on Greggs meatpies for all ACS knows.

Information of this nature should only be treated as gospel if it comes from Windy.

2.7 million for the seasons loan, followed by 6.5 million to make the deal permanent.
As far as l can ascertain. It's looking like a real bargain if he continues to play and improve as well as he has.

A further £6.5m on top of the loan fee but if we get him for less than £10m it's an absolute steal.
More of the same in January would be great
