So has anyone got an idea why our defence fell apart at Derby? They passed a lot of balls over the top. Was that to exploit Dawson's lack of pace? Did Aina push too far forward allowing them to pass into the space behind him? Every attack seemed to drag our players out of position and left huge gaps which you have to give Rowett credit for, but what is the weakness he spotted and will other teams do the same?
You couldn't take a bit of banter or a differing opinion to yours and that's been the root of your rudeness.
I had enough of him before he got injured last season, looks lost or clueless, possibly both. It looks like he isn't trying. Hope he proves me wrong but he might not get a chance to.
Poor full backs, Sunday League defending and a midfield that should never have been fielded ... ... yes, without a doubt if Slutsky fields that team again.
Been beyond the reach of civilisation since Thursday evening, although did manage to find the score at about 10pm on Friday. Was then informed about how **** we were on Saturday lunchtime, in the hammering rain by some Blades, who were hopelessly lost in the Wear Valley trying to 'cut across' to Sunderland. Two letters, lads :A1. (Although, to be accurate one of those is a number). Hope that they enjoyed their day. Nice chaps to be fair. Anyway, I've read the panic, vitriol and vituperative bile on this thread and have concluded the following: Hendricksen is no more a footballer than a lightweight nancy-boy's arsehole. All our defenders are ****, except Curtis Davies. All our midfield is ****, except Tommy Huddlestone. Slutski picked the wrong team because he's a clueless knob-jockey. But he's a nice bloke. Larrson shouldn't even be on the far side of our team (see what I did there?) Meyler should be the first name on every teamsheet, even for teams that he doesn't play for. Jackson Irvine is actually a girl, who wears high heels and sits down when he goes to the lavatory. Grosicki's back to being a lazy, waste of space **** and will remain so until the last game in December. Jarrod Bowen was arrested early on Saturday morning wandering naked around the streets of Derby mumbling 'Here's what we could have won' to bemused passers-by. I might have made one of those up, by the way.
Joking aside ernie. I hope henriksen isn't going to be the next boo boy for the simple minded among our support. He was asked to do a job he isn't suited to do. It's easy against weaker sides as we have better players all round the park. It was a bad formation that gave no cover to the back four and too much work to the two sitting midfielders. Some are wanting 3-4-3 I think that would have been just as bad. Either go 4-3-3 and play three narrow proper cenner mids or go 4-4-2 and let growshitski be one of the two.
That's the most accurate summary I've seen of it. I have faith that Slutsky will put it right. I thought the 3-4-3 at home worked well, but only if Mazuch is fit. That said, Tomori might do alright but it's a gamble. The 4-3-3 would work, we have enough pace to catch people on the counter away from home.
I know we love a good 'out of position' on here, but is it really such a stretch to expect a central midfielder with slightly attacking tendencies to play centre mid? I mean it's hardly like playing Aluko on his own up front is it? And it's not as if Henriksen is some kind of specialist when played in the hole, pulling the strings and creating chances.
Havent been able to look on here or even look at other results until today I was that fuming about Friday, it was pathetic. Had to turn it off when the fourth went in before I smashed the tv up. Completely ruined the weekend for me. What an awful penalty as well.
I think AN have summed it up pretty well - 'Markus Henriksen, who offers disappointingly little when things are going well and virtually nothing when they aren’t'.
