Last night I watched Hector turn in possibly the worst defensive display since witnessing Sonko and Danny Coles. He kept running out of position and after the ball like a child. Three at the back is the way to go especially with our ineptitude. Kingsley is unfit and Aina is that laid back he's horizontal. Dawson needs help.

Don't start on Henriksen he's a crap excuse for a footballer. He literally provides absolutely nothing and why he wasn't brought off was laughable. Larsson needs legs next to him. Grosicki was predicable and ineffective as they where so deep.

Bowen made more tackles than our whole team put together. He really is a class act and had the passion and desire to succeed.

Dicko was isolated and Toral never got the ball and when he did no one was in 50 yards of him.

    Back to 343 please Sluts.

Bowen should never have played last night, he needs protecting from things like that. At the very least he should have been brought off after 30 minutes.

You could/should be nominated for MOM last night Dennis, the only person to have made the right decisions!

Looked like a team of strangers last night. Derby were nothing fantastic but took advantage of our mistakes and punished us. We looked OK until the penalty miss, even if we didn't really trouble Derby, and had it gone in we may have gone on to take hold of the game. However, it's inexcusable to capitulate like we did; I'd be livid with my team of Year 5s and 6s if they'd defended like that! It surely can't get any worse but the fixtures are relentless and not getting any easier. I'd have Meyler straight back in on Wednesday and also lrvine who looked decent last night (though the standard when he came on wasn't especially high). In time I think the side will gel together and settle but a promotion push looks fanciful to say the least. It's what happens if you throw a squad together at the last minute when others are prepared.

I've probably missed something but how did we end up with Meyler on the bench and Henriksen starting?

I'm not saying this is the cause of the result (because saying stuff like that is ****ing dumb) but I'm just baffled by that situation. When I heard Henriksen was starting I assumed Meyler must have been injured.

Not international duty but they have all been cobbled together towards the end of the transfer window which is obviously his point. This is why you keep players like Bruce and Davies, so you don't have to replace a full back line at once.

I disagree. There's been enough time to get to know each other. Plus we have the second most experienced defender in the division to organize the back four. Think how Dawson feels when he sees Aina high up on the right wing. At times we only had two at the back. The formation and what slutsky was asking players to do isn't right.
It's easy when you are Real or Barca, whatever formation works most of the time when you have the best players.
    We don't.

Meyler got stuck in as soon as he came on .. and where was Henriksen .. floundering with his finger up his arse as they ran rings round him .. I said it before the game and say it again .. Henriksen is not good enough and should not have been picked ahead of Meyler .. and he ain't a holding midfield player while I got a hole in my arse .. if you take your Meyler hating glasses off a second you'll see sense .. in the Championship you need fighters .. Meyler is just that

Anyone else see Justin Whittle in the crowd last night? Could have done with him on the pitch!

Last night we had 18 shots (3 on target) to their 15 (7 on target) and we had 58% possession.
Some of our passing was very good, but our build up play was too predictable and less direct than Derby.

We had a headless chicken defence and as Burnsy said there was nobody in the team willing or able to tackle.

I missed last night due to working late. Thank **** for that.

Funny seeing so many asking why Meyler wasn't playing. He was apparently crap not long ago.

I feel we are to left centric... Surely any opposing manager says, stand on Grisicki and you stop them playing.. Last night they had a reserve right back on him and he and Kingsley (who looked ****e to me) surrounded. He could be a gem, but his comments i'm sure have ruffled the feathers of teammates and the pictures from Sky of him sat on his own on the bench speaks volumes. On the left sided thing, happy to be shot down here, but is not Toral a Number 10, but then so is Jackson Irvine and so is Markus Henrikssen, we dont seem to have a number 8 other than Ryan Mason or Aina who is never a full back in a minth of Sundays..
