I might have said it the other day, I can't remember, but I wouldn't be dropping Tadic yet: I would absolutely be moving him over to the left flank first. Fine, if he continues to disappoint out there then drop him. But I struggle to accept any argument that Tadic's best is anything other than the left side of our attack. Play him in his best position, and hopefully get the best out of him. Don't drop until he's been given a proper chance back there. (And for me, the issue is highlighted even further because in my view, at best Redmond and Bertrand do not work together, and at worst they visibly dislike each other)
The thing is our managers obviously like inverted wingers. I can see no other explanation why Tadić is on the right, and Redmond on the left.
While i completely agree with what you said about moving Tadic to the left, Pellegrino said in part 2 of the pre-match interview that he had Redmond on the left because he works well with Bertrand and has players who can play in the other positions.
Perhaps the managers are always facing them during training, so from their viewpoint Tadic is on their left, and Redmond is on their right. Maybe if Pellegrino watched from behind the goal, with Tadic and Redmond (and everyone else) moving away from him, he would get a different perspective.
I think this will be a easy victory for Saints this afternoon and have a feeling that we will come away 3-0 winners. It is impossible to see us throwing this one away even though the Watford manager Silva has been impressive.
Never have we needed an early goal more than today (well perhaps since our last match). I can see this being a very frustrating day if I'm honest.
If Watford leave with points today it will be more about the way we play than them. That's the feeling I'm getting. But, have to say, very happy real football is back! uts

Hmm, if I was Watford I would be quite confident. So I'm feeling nervous. Or maybe hungover, not sure.
