My fav. would have been Newcastle 5-5, but unfortunately that was the only home game I missed that season because of a pair of divvies who got married during the season.
QPR 6-0 Scum takes some beating.
Arsenal (2-0) in the cup (1990?) was also great fun (especially opening a bottle of bubbly on the central line (eastbound) that was banged out with depressed Gooners)

There are so many fantastic memories, but if pressed to pick just one it would have to be beating Chelsea 6-0 on the carpet. I think until that result they were still in the title race.

It was very crowded and I was standing at the bottom of the Loft to get a view.

It was our record attendance of 35,353.

I can't see that record being broken in the next 100 years!

I was there that night too Beth. Rodney destroyed Jack Charlton and I remember Big Jack just struggling his shoulders at,the bench as if to say 'what can i do? Rangers slaughtered them and I do remember reading an article by Don Revie a few years later where he described that game as the most embarrassing victory in his career. Poor Rangerrs.
I also enjoyed the game v Liverpool at the start of 75/76 when we won 2-0. First game of the season, but you knew then that we were going to be bloody good that year

The stand out one for me too. Winning that game put us at the summit of the English League at the end of the season. I was in the packed Loft just above the goal. The atmosphere was crackeling electric.

I always remember 1982 beating Wolves 2-0 to guarantee winning the league, they had to win to get promotion, on the pitch came the wolves fans, chased off by the qpr, who in turn were chased off by mounted police, (sounds like a teD post now) always remember the police horses trying to eat the plastic grass, a good day

Thank you! I have a vivid memory of horses on the pitch but could never remember which game it was from, except that I saw it from the Loft. Wouldn't it have been 1983 though?

Oldham. The stadium itself literally bouncing.
Liverpool 3:2. Fell over after jumping with joy and had to be dragged up by surrounding fans. Have a cousin whose a Liverpool fan and was very cocksure before the game. Nice.

For me it has to be Boxing Day 1980. My first (of only 4, so far) match at Loftus Rd. Huddled in the School End on account of renovations underway in the Loft. I was offered an opportunity to go to Craven Cottage and see a "good" match or go to Loftus Rd and see my boys get thrashed. I'd like some more thrashings like that one, starting tomorrow. On that day in 1980, we were thrashed by QPR 3: WHU 0. I even learned my first cheer - Threeee-Nil, Threeeee-nil...

I was in the loft too for that game. Great times!!
Other stand out moments are getting the championship trophy; Charlie's two goals in the play off semi against Wigan and then realising we were off to Wembley at the final whistle; the come back against Liverpool; watching Rangers in the EUFA Cup with Stan running riot...........among others!!
