It demonstrates inability to manage talent. Hodgson, Brown and Jewell put Club before their own ego and reaped the rewards.

Phil Brown put the club before his own ego? <laugh>

I think he's conveniently forgotten that half the squad weren't even on speaking terms with Brownie for much of his time in charge, managing talent my arse.

Thats why Hodgson couldn't wait to get rid of Jimmy! Dear oh dear Paul Duffen, sober up and take those rose tinted glasses off

Exactly West Hull, he coudlnt have picked a worse example in Woy - he hates Jimmy as much as Adam does! The only person I know who hates him more is Dave Whelan.

Never read so much crap in my life. I usually avoid twitter, it's just an avenue for people to harp on about their thoughts and ignore anyone who criticises them.

Hodgson struggled to manage talent as he couldn't hack it at Liverpool, he's only good at managing underrated players and galvanising them spirit to beat low expectations.

Phil Brown has never managed talent and Paul Jewell managed Bullard when he was a nothing.

I find it strange how we're coming out as bad guys throughout this. In my opinion its very simple:

New management came in and looked at the finances of the club and they realised we were in financial turmoil.

They tried to offload all the high earners, but found that few would leave and others would not.

They realised Bullard was one of the main high earners but found he wasn't worth his contract to the club. Bullard cocked up big time and the club had no hesitation to get rid of him. Bullard only has himself to blame, he had a easy little number at Hull and had the potential to rake in another £4/5 million in two years.

While I don't want to alienate anyone here, but the continual support of Bullard is ridiculous. In fact, it shows immaturity to the wider business world, sackings are commonplace with big organisations to streamline budgets.

Sackings are common but not at football clubs, thats why I think we have to take off our hats 2 City on this one. They have dared to do what not many clubs would.

It may back fire if an appeal is successful by Jimmy but fair play City

Many clubs don't sack players because they still hold value to the club.

For example, say (at random)..Samir Nasri had a fight with someone at Arsenal. He would obviously be able to be sacked. But Nasri has transfer value (e.g. Man City/Man United would be willing to purchase him) while he also has value at Arsenal in that they could work out an agreement to keep him at the club as he offers a lot on the pitch to them.

Unfortunately Jimmy Bullard offered us neither.

The only other example I can think of which is similar to Bullard is El Hadji Diouf. He is unwanted by Blackburn and has been told he can leave on a free transfer if he finds a club. However nobody wants him due to his bad reputation and high wage demands. If he steps out of line i'm sure he'll get the sack.

hopefully this might make bullard wake up and see how much of a dick he has been and if he has even the slightest respect for us he will walk away and not appeal i cant see it happening but fingers crossed that he realised he's leached enough off us and **** off to another club and leave us alone! just have to wait and see!

What about Chelsea with both Mutu and Bosnich? They were on massive deals and nobody wanted them so as soon as they stepped out of line they were sacked. As you say, I have absolutely no doubt that players are involved in all kinds of misdemeanours that clubs turn a blind eye to because they can just sell them on.

Ridiculous statement regarding Browns ego, I agree with Hull's comment about Twitter, pointless site full of inanities and soundbites.

There is one simple answer to this. The people he is lambasting are still involved in the game. Is he?

I bet every club in the football league will be thinking well done Hull City! Fact

Clubs need to turn the tables not just for themselves but the fans as well. These over paid over rated players might just start appreciating thier jobs;)

I did notice on the Ipswich board that someone was commending us for making a stand against an overpaid player who was taking the piss, I suspect there's a fair few out there that think it's about time that something like this happened.

Phil Browns Ego was stoked by you Mr Duffer If you have forgotten! There was nearly as many players on Phil Browns Famous "Naughty Step" then being involved on match day. IF Duffer had the guts he would have rained Browns Ego in and told him to keep a low profile and encorage the team to play as a team! All Duffer and Brown were interested in was when their next Media apperance was.

Now that Bullard looks like he has left the building, we can now put the Duffer Era behind us and look to the future as we now have one.
