5:00 Goodwood - Hard Toffee 7/2 Return to form LTO and won this race last year off 1lb higher are enough reasons for me to take a swing at this one. Good luck!!
This time last year LABAIK refused to race in the 7f Maiden at Laytown on his first run for Gordon Elliot - I wonder if the 2018 supreme winner is in the field today
One to watch, rather than back, is LA FIGLIA in the 6.20 at Kempton tonight. One of the most expensive Frankel's sold at auction (€1,800,000 as a foal, breaking the Irish foal record), she is making a belated debut following a minor setback in the spring (she got cast in her box a few days before her intended debut and needed 6 weeks out of work). She is out of English and Irish 1,000 Guineas winner Finsceal Beo, making her a half-sister to G2 winner Ol' Man River.
Hello, pilgrims. Big question of the day has to be how many members have rung up their preferred bookie chappie, this morn, and ask for a price for Ulysses for the 2018 Triumph Hurdle after his entry in a 3YO heat at Fonters on Sunday. Come on be honest! You were impressed with him in the Eclipse and the old International and now think he’ll become a top, top juvenile hurler. I’m guessing at least 6 members have – and maybe more if, to use that terrible forum cliché, any of you have ‘been told’! With my serious hat on though I see that at the same meet Lady Vesta has been given an entry in the Bumper. Be interesting to see that old girl back on the old track following her promising debut. Good luck to those wagering today.

Ok then, quickfire treble coming up. 3.50 AURORA GREY 2/1 4.00 TORNADO WATCH 9/2 Absolutely smashed up the other week from 33/1 to 2/1jf I think but only managed second. Compensation awaits I wonder. 4.10 RACQUET 9/2 Second behind Dodgey Bob last time who has just won fairly well.
What a shocking shocking ride by Ryan Moore, had a fiver on to watch the race so not pocket talking. Obviously 6f on the sharp side so why he was not up with the pace is a mystery
Very harsh and in my view wrong to blame Ryan for that showing. He rode the horse away from the start but it didn't have the early pace required. He was at it plenty early enough in the straight but it lacked gears and simply stayed on. My guess is that her next try will be over at least a mile. If you REALLY want to see a shocking ride just check out Crowley on Mohsen in the same race, big drifter and never given a semblance of a chance!
