This Justin Barnes bellend apparently stopped the deals. He's Ashley's enforcer that he sends in before selling something.

I read this somewhere earlier too. Can't remember where - may have been the Chronicle.Source?
Not twitter please?
Phew.
Was worried it was a credible source.
The Chron, with Ryder et al and their clickbait are a parody now..
It's not as suicidal as some people are making out as we have competed well in all 3 games so far and easily won one of them so I'm sure we will put up a good fight, but it can't be described as anything other than disappointing that we haven't got at least another couple of players in and nobody really of any proven quality. I'd say we are stronger than at the start of the window, but not by much. Credit is due for cutting out some of the deadwood I suppose. Let's just hope there were genuine reasons for not getting in that Argy lad, the keeper, and an attacking midfielder, not to mention Kenedy, and that Rafa hasn't been pissed off too much by what looks from the outside as serial incompetence by the dealmakers.
He'd probably even chuck in a tenner towards it.In fact I want Alan Barnes to do our deals.

Hey, he wore a Newcastle shirt once, he's one of us!People do realize that Mike Ashley is a classic white collar psychopath don't yhey? He cares little for what newspapers, pundits or people in general think. He will do anything to make money and cares little about what he does to achieve that end.
I think we will spend big in January
Hahahaha
Well the Chronicle finally found their balls again atleast.
Expect another media shut-out soon for them.
Too little, too late, responding to the dismay of its readership.
