Please can I lick your anus Ehab? Because you are right. You are the KING. You are my hero. I will die when I want for you. Cock. ALLAMS OUT
And now my take on things. Not enough bodies and the squad looks unbalanced. As injuries and suspensions kick in we will be bolloxed. Leonid will get the very best from the meager resource he has been given and we will just miss out leaving all naive supporters disappointed (again). Leonid will go on to manage Crystal Palace or Newcastle where he will become a hero having taken them into Europe, and all naive city supporters will be left thinking if only (again).
TBF, some reasonable business done on the very cheap. And a coup achieved in bringing Slutsky here. However ....... the unspent £35 million could have seen us go up as champions, or at least runners-up. £35 million invested, £100+ million and the sale of the club in return. We'll now be top half no problem, but we don't have enough for promotion. So that's us consigned back to being, at best, a CCC side from now on. The opportunity has gone. And very little to show in terms of infrastructure for our time at the top table. Thanks for the memories. Ehab, you've ****ed up again. #nobodytellsmehowtorunmybusiness
Some are always desperate for positivity and Ehab will play on that. People can insult and shout all they want at others but there's no doubt that some here have been taken for a ride big time. It's the same gamble as last season, hoping for no more injuries/or suspensions. But he doesn't mind if it fails.
Summed it perfectly there Driff. The last two seasons, just a little investment could have seen us staying up and then going back up.
If you had the power to do that, you'd be a very very rich man. In fact we wouldn't need to talk about success in the transfer window, Where do you think we'll finish? Automatics? Playoffs? Top half? Safety? Relegation?
Ok. I'm thinking at best sneaking into play offs. I don't think we have the depth for a successful campaign. At the end of last season, what did you expect this season?
I thought our best chance was keeping Silva, because it was obvious the big name players would leave. So when he left it came down to who his replacement would be. I wanted us to get Slutsky and when we did I started thinking we had a chance again and I haven't changed my mind.
I know not everyone likes Bruce but under him he gave us two golden opportunities to establish ourselves in the Premier league. The first was 14/15 relegation season. We had probably our strongest squad, but had an unprecedented list of injuries. Bruce never tried to blame that. When we then immediately returned to Premier League via play offs, with very few leaving, we had a solid core (we lost Brady/ Chester when relegated and then Diame) and with a reasonable investment, Bruce would have taken us to the next level. That was the missed opportunity to me. I wonder if I will ever see such an opportunity again. However I do prefer the Championship. The only thing I will miss is not been Yorkshires No 1. We have massively over achieved the last decade, no real reason to expect this to continue.
First 11 is top quality, if maybe lacking a star striker. Couple of injuries and we're very light at the back. Literally one more now and we can't play the same system we won 4-0 with last time out. Not great. The annoying thing is we always seem to try and shoot ourselves in the foot. If we just kept a couple of the players who left, or signed a couple more to replace them we'd be set. The recruitment has been good quality and incredible value but he was always on a hiding to nothing trying to build a squad with 15 spaces to fill. We shouldn't have been in a position where people like Davies wanted to leave. Likewise Bruce. Why get rid of someone who's gone up twice before. Pointless burning of bridges and driving people out has helped no one.
Return via the play-offs is an immediate return. I expect nothing, but I am optimistic. Do you prefer to be negative just in case you're disappointed?
