Oh right. Wasn't quite sure how an Everton player turning down Chelsea had much to do with us not getting Musa.
I don't believe Musa made the decision. All day we were told that it was down to percentage of wages we were willing to pay.
And then we were told a deal was agreed but Musa didn't fancy it? If you're saying this then I'm even more confused about the mention of Barkley.
Because Barkley was originally reported to have agreed terms and had a medical, only for a statement to be released saying he hadn't had a medical.
Everton wanted rid and Chelsea wanted him. To try and claim anyone other than Barkley made that decision is odd and still nothing to do with the Musa deal.
I think you're partly right. Certainly the image of him being lazy on the pitch seems exaggerated to suit a caricature. But I find it hard to defend or justify his tweets. Meyler's apparent exasperation with them was spot on.
I mean, this is the guy who deliberately pulls in front of people on a motorway and slams his brakes on in response to a rude gesture. If anyone deserves to be in crash, it's someone who pisses about on the roads, putting others at risk by trying to be a big man.
Both City and Leicester have said that terms were agreed and it was down to the player, I can believe someone at our end would make it up, but not both ends.
I'm not going to analyse his performance in games that were intended for fitness purposes. Looking at his performance in league games, I'd say he's looked fine. If he wanted to leave so desperately, he'd have taken the loan move to Freiburg when it came in.
Plenty of players handed in transfer requests without a specific club interested. Mahrez for one. Van Dijk another. While Liverpool were interested they had retracted their bid and there was no bid in for him when he handed it in.
That Polish paper that claimed there was a loan offer from Germany was full of ****, according to them he also had offers from Newcastle and Watford.
