    Good Morning Everyone

Its been a while since we've been able to report that!!!

I think Eire was right. Leeds always had Cibicki and Lasogga wrapped up, but wanted to draw out the process for more kudos!

    Thoughts?

It is obvious that we are a stronger squad than last season, but is our starting XI stronger?

Is Cellino responsible for our upturn in fortune. Surely it was he who introduced Radrizzani to the club.

Are we in a better position than let's say Villa or Boro?

Morning Elland and all. Of course Eire was right . Squad is markedly better than last season as will first team be, regardless who’s selected. To be honest we look more organised than arsenal Chelsea or victimpool in our dealings. Get the feeling, whenever promotion comes, we have the back room setup to handle it

Good morning just sorting last of holiday stuff out.
Been looking at the goals record of Lasogga and i hope he comes good.
14 goals in 81 games is not mind blowing.
Just got to trust in the coaches this time.

Can remember you saying Rads would be great for us but we had to be patient for Cellino to bugger off before he would spend any money <whistle>

Morning all by the way :emoticon-0148-yes:

    Morning all...

Squad is stronger in my opinion. Defence I would say on par with last seasons, midfield remarkably stronger, attack stronger in depth, we need to see what Lasogga and Grot can deliver first but I'm optimistic.

Even though you could debate if positions or areas are stronger or not one area not up for debate is the infrastructure. We're miles ahead this year, from owning the stadium to backroom staff and from an owner with money to investment in the youth, it's looking good.

Is this the furthest into a season we have got in the last 12 years without some lawsuit popping up? Everything we're debating and discussing is positive, I mean yesterday, debating Gayle or Lasogga, who'd have thought that 12/24 months ago.

On BBC news feed last night...

Ian Dennis: The best signing I’ve seen in the Football League today? Leeds United have signed Pawel Kubicki. I saw him in the Under 21s tournament and he could be a real player. He’s technically very good and can play on either flank. What a player he could be for Leeds.

Has he put the mockers on it?

Was he a 1 tournament wonder?

We are way better than season .... so far, and when you look at stats it proves the point. For example Felix is way ahead of any keeper in the league with fewest shots to save. That obviously means our defence is looking stronger than we give it credit. Also could be down to tactics of playing fast attacking football which means the ball is kept for longer & away from danger areas. So at the moment Tommy is also better than Monk.

I think theres a professionalism in the club that we havent had since Wilko, the top team from Radz, Kinnear & Orta, down to the admin team at the club. The photo posted last night from the club showing all staff at ER & thanking them for the work done through the window, was class, all had a bottle in their hands too. Orta & Kinnear were drinking too.

I thank Cellino for making it possible, he kept quiet for a whole season whilst dealing in the background. Radz helped him yet was working hard to put things in place ready, and when he moved he was like an F1 car doing everything fast. From ridding us of GFH to buying the club & buying ER to installing the management team. The only thing failed so far was giving Sako a contract, but was that Radz or a done deal before he took over.

So far everything is rosy and we know realistically we will lose games, get battered yet I have a feeling that we will see many goals from this team, which means more points

Morning all. We're at the end of a long road, often dark, but now with plenty of light. It began with Bates sorting out the finance. It eventually moved forward to Cellino, and now it's with Rad & TC. We own our own ground at last. We also have a squad genuinely with the chance of autos with top 6 a more or less given.

It will be a long season, & there will be a few dark days. But even Chippy will struggle to be anything other than positive about the season ahead

Deadline day in Spain is not until the end of today so still time for Sacko to get a loan deal to our friends in Spain, which could be a good thing for him

Good morning boys from a very sunny Bardsey.I do hope Ian Dennis is right about our new Swedish star I must say apart from Sacko I have been highly impressed with our new players they have all brought something ti the table especially Alioski and Saiz
It looks like Mowatt who I thought was slowly getting worse has now been loaned out To Pep at Oxford .I think the lad needs some strong advice otherwise the non l league beckons
Well we didn't sign George Hirst which is a pity but there is a new window in January
Othefr things to note Dwight Gayle .Nelson Olivera Jordan Rhodes Aden Flint didn,t move either

I don't know what Mikes association with Leeds is but I've seen him say several times that he is a Leeds fan. Hopefully we are on the verge of being a team that we can all be proud of.

Think your 4 or 5 strikers you now have scored fewer combined last season than wood scored on his own <laugh>
even if you played all 5 in his place you are weaker up front <whistle>

but you can only play 1 for 1 sorry <laugh>

What a massive relief the transfer window has now closed without destabilizing offers/rumours for our better players.

There could easily have been PL approaches for Jansson and also big money offers for Phillips, Vieira, Ayling, O'Kane etc from other cash rich championship clubs. The fact these players were not distracted and are all on long term contracts is absolutely vital to the unity of the squad we have built.

The task for Victor and his team is now to be ready to replace or sign permanently the 3 loan signings we have. They are all good players who have come from higher leagues so we must be aware of the potential hole they will leave in the squad come next summer.

The deal to loan Lasogga from Hamburg seems attractive at first glance but actually I think it's a very shrewd move by Hamburg. They have now exposed him to the lucrative English market and if he does well will have offers in the region of £20m for him next summer. Therefore it's disappointing there is no option to buy similar to when Pontus signed. Obviously we need him to be banging in the goals but every time he does it becomes less likely he'll become our player. Also his own ambitions are likely to be more important than the teams so that's a potential disruptive factor if things are not as he would wish.

Time will tell but it would seem we need to get up this season. Our squad is the strongest it's been since relegation from the PL and we need to seize the opportunity which we now clearly have. The other teams in the championship are nothing special which means the top 2 is wide open and up for grabs. It will be tough as nobody gives you an inch in this league but it is most definitely possible.

16 scored so far this season even before some of the new guys came in. It only matters what they score with us.We dont care what they scored in Sweden, Spain, Holland or wherever. You go back to scouring the building sites for talent like a good lad <ok>

Fair set of comments Jammy. For once, we've held on to all those TC wanted to. We got £16m for Wood, & we've acquired a number of additions as a result. I doubt our newbees will individually match Wood's total. But collectively we will match Wood's total, & more of the team will score. So all is well
