Seems a better individual player, Messi is thriving within most likely the greatest club squad ever but when playing for Argentina dont cut it as good.

Anyone who votes Ronaldo has severe issues.

Ronaldo seems like he can handle the physicality more than Messi despite diving all the time. Ronaldo for me.

Messi is stronger and much more of a team player. Ronaldo is a selfish whiney diving twat.

Tbf, this question is going to be split right down the middle from the start. They're both fantastic but each have their own downside.

  8. Messi isn't stronger <doh>

He's strong for a little bloke but he's not strong like he can push people off him.

He's got great balance, and not easily knocked over, but he's not STRONG

Both fantastic players but Messi edges it for me because he is more of a team player

Messi is stronger. Ronaldo gets pushed off the ball regularly, mainly because he is looking for a free kick but effectively makes him weak.

Messi always battles and therefore is rarely pushed off the ball even by huge defenders. In footballing terms Messi is stronger.

Disagree with this, there is no "footballing strength". Just physical strength, which Ronaldo has and Messi doesn't have. What Messi does have is awesome balance and a low centre of gravity which makes him hard to knock off the ball, that and the fact he doesn't throw himself to the ground.

Ive voted Ronaldo, and although im not agreeing with you that Messi is stronger, there are times when his superb balance ride some big challenges.

    Why is this on GC?

  20. He's got excellent balance and is strong for a small bloke, but he could still get pushed off by a good CB. He gets passed most defenders by his agility and pace anyway.
