Boro drew with Preston yesterday at the Riverside 0-0, then again we drew too. But Boro got beat last week by Nottingham Forest, whereas we trounced them.
Yep And Monks post match interview was wondrous And we drew at home to Fulham but they bear Ipswich 0-2 Though these sort of comparisons can mislead of course I still think on the first few games we and Cardiff look the ones to have to be beaten
So pleased for Byron, Cook Taylor & Wood all not getting a kick in the Premier League. Hope you enjoy your wages boys pity about not playing footy
Burnley FCVerified account@BurnleyOfficial 3m3 minutes ago 57 - SUBS: Burnley make a double change, with Ashley Barnes and Chris Wood replacing Vokes and Gudmundsson 0-1
It's a trade off Loadsacash and a 10% chance of a game v decent cash and playing most weeks You make your choice and live with the consequences All wrong of course
Just read the match text on the BBC website, Wood features 3 times, each identical: 'Wood caught offside'
Just shows you as I forgot about Bartley, probably 3 out of 5 best performers and when you consider Berardi has hardly featured it's pretty impressive
Really can't hate them - Byram and Cook particularly and to a certain extent Taylor all did good service for us and were here under the **** storm that was Cellino and Byram and Cook had no idea that a better owner was coming anytime soon. All were offered **** deals so unsurprising they turned them down and then the lovely owner tried to turn the fans against them whilst he pocketed a nice fee for them. Also can't blame them for trying to see if they can make it at the highest level. People mock Wood for going to Burnley but if he does well for them it doesn't matter if they get relegated or bottom part of the table - he'll get another move to a better premiership team. if he doesn't then he tried, was well paid and goes back to the championship. If I was Wood in current climate I would have stayed at Leeds until the end of the season but I can understand why he went. Would love to have Byram, Cook and Taylor now with current owner looking after them but now more concerned about us trying to get out of this division so we can keep Saiz, Alioski and Jansson.
I wasn't fussed about Monk leaving, I could see the argument for continuity but I was content to see the back of him to be honest with you, he never did win me over. Bridcutt I never did rate, yes he breaks up play but as much as he breaks up possession he gives equal or more back with sloppy passes.
Exactly this, we were a circus and I don't blame anyone who left prior to Wood. I am a little surprised at Woods decision because surely he witnessed things getting better? I never check on Leeds players once they have left unless their name pops up in the news, to be honest we should want them to do well as they'll all have bonuses tied into their fees. Look at Rose and the reported 7.5m we will get if he does get a £50m move.
