    For those thinking the silly Irish bastard can beat Floyd due to raw aggression and passion;

Ricky Hatton was a street fighter in boxing terms.

A blood and guts fighter with no shortage of ring craft, the heart of a lion with a granite chin and balls of steel.

He'd not long dragged the best pound for pound fighter on the planet into a brawl and beat him fair and square.

He then stepped into the ring with Mayweather.

After a couple of rounds where Hatton did fairly well he was the schooled in the art of boxing before being sparked clean out.

    Hatton would have destroyed MgGregor.

Mayweather will make him look an utter fool.

Tony Banham would have sorted them both out.

Mayweather has how many a fight record ? In Boxing discipline. Wins & Losses , Surely years of preparedness & training coupled with experiences of boxing techniques gleaned from fighting will see Floyd sparko Mcgregor out , in 4 rounds. Mcgregor will want to go toe to toe ( slugfest ) style & hope for a massive connection. And that wont happen.

And if McGregor wins, how would you analyse him and Mayweather?

As predicted, it was a completely staged fight from mayweathers view point as he carried mcgregor into the later rounds, it was like a sparring match.

Did anyone on here pay for it? There was loads of hype yesterday with media saying "all those who are slating it, you still know you'll stillwatch" but I don't know anyone who did.

It was 5-4 Mayweather before the stoppage - McGregor got tired as he wasn't conditioned over many fights for a bout of this intensity. He was excellent however, much better than expected. he lay some shots on Mayweather - jabs, an uppercut and I didn't predict that.

I don't think it was staged as such, Mayweather takes time to figure out his opponents, I watched him fight Carlos Maidana and he was very awkward but surely and slowly the tide turned.

One of the reasons Mayweather is an all-time great champion is that he knows how to pace himself and adapt to opponents and generally not get hurt.

    I was amazed, frankly.

As in so many things, the older, wiser, more experienced person gave the younger one a lesson.

I did. My lad doesn't have SKY and asked me if I would get it so he could see it. Though my paying was temporary as he had to popup the money after I ordered it.

Daft really, as Uktvnow, a great app for Android phones and tablets had not one but 3 HD streams for it as it turned out. No good for him as he has an iPhone and iPad.

Mayweather barely got out of first gear. He controlled the fight and did no more than he needed to do. He never looked troubled.
