Don't see us picking up anything against the Shrimpers either even though we have a fairly decent record against them at home. Gillingham 0-2 Southend United (Ferdinand & Robinson)
Purely from memory rather than stats....Gills have a good record against Southend at home and you can normally guarantee to see two or three goals +. Southend got off to a decent start against a lower league wary Blackburn but imho they were just lucky on the timing of the meet and certainly will not be replicating that result on the return visit. They were then brought back down to earth with a huge thud against Rotherham (5-0) - followed at the last weekend with jitters against new boys Plymouth. So if Gills cannot follow past season form and beat Southend then I'm going to start to worry, especially if we go another game goalless - so no pressure but.... me thinks we are not scoring but have only conceded 2 in three games so looks a lot worse than is. Bank holiday weekend a good crowd and some nice weather 2-1 gills (Knighty, Eves and Parker)
