Probably it sounded like the only thing holding it up was a lack of funds.

Kharzi was in and out of last nights game, got himself a stupid booking when he lost possession and lunged out in frustration,
Overall poor display for a bloke with his talent and if he's off then I dont think he'll be the big miss some might think.
As others say if and it could be a big if we reinvest in McCormick then we could end up with the better of the deal.
We also need shot of Dijlbolo cause on last night showing he's another not up for the fight ahead this season.

This season could've easily started off like the last one if Moyes had still been here.

We're at least competitive which, given the mood at the end of last season, is a minor miracle.

A couple of signings and more coaching from Grayson & his staff could have us in the top 10 which would do me tbh.

That's just it - he's another Januzaj IMO - all the talent in the world with application only when he feels like it - Moyes got slated for not playing him last season - Grayson isn't playing him this season which tells me everything I need to know about Khazri! (No support of Moyes there but it looks like Grayson is seeing the same things he did with Khazri!)

I agree Khazri doesn't look great these days but there's that anomaly that when he was playing in a better side with the likes of M'Vila and Kirchhoff he looked every bit the premier league player.

Still, we're not that side anymore and if he's going to be more miss than hit we may as well sell him.

Seeing Sunderland at home tops my bucket list, but I cannot deny that I am rooting for Gooch to fight his way into the starting 11.

You were in a minority Criticising Khazri - your right he only consistently played well with BSA so we'll probs be better off with his transfer money -McCormack or any other clinical goalscorer to come in.
Plus an influential & creative prescence in the middle (Snodgrass ??)
    <cheers>

It may be that, as @Nacho said - he was a better player with the better players around him - but he just doesn;t seem to give a **** when he's playing!

I played at junior and county level and then at pub team - if I was ever benched, if I got on the field, regardless of the score, I made sure the boss had no reason not to start me the next game - I just haven't seen that from Khazri since Allardyce was here

I hope we have many from our youngsters playing whenever we go up as I'm sure with the emergence of understated Honeyman and Gooch others will make it. All have a winning mentality and no fear.
I honestly (positive hat on) see going down as an opportunity to blood our young stars and Grayson will do that.
Things may be nicely reshaping for SG's pledge to make Sunderland great again :emoticon-0148-yes:
Hope it does'nt end in :emoticon-0106-cryin too soon though <doh>

I am one of Khazri's champions simply because I enjoy watching him play, frustrating and unpredictable,as he is, but I agree totally with all of your comments above, and do not think the team would miss him at all if he goes, simply because of the quality we have in McGeady, Honeyman, Gooch and Grabban. Much rather we keep Kone as we have no ready replacement in the current squad. McCormick would be great as we need an alternative to Vaughn, pity about Maja's injury, as he looked class, and Waghorn would have been good business at 1m, on his current form, Ipswich must be chuffed. <ok>

Totally agree -if you are selected for a game you always give your all in my book -esp if it's for Sunderland :emoticon-0148-yes:
Some don't realise the privilage of playing for Sunderland and the fans -not happy with these at all.

You did enjoy watching him play, three seasons back. Last time he put an acceptable performance in a competitive game. (digressing here)Folk can say what they want about Moyes, looks like he was spot on with the lad. As is Grayson. The bloke was willing to run through walls for Sam but he's been dummy spitting and putting out half arsed performances ever since he's left. The only person at fault for Khazri not playing well for other managers is Khazri, cause when his attitude is rotten for more than 1 manager, it's time to stop blaming the manager imo. The bloke is a waste of space imo.

We'd be much better off this season selling him asap and spending the money on strengthening elsewhere.

I see a player who is a maverick and his style does not suit the English game or our leagues its not his fault and he is imo not spitting his dummy out at all, in fact he has behaved admirably under the three managers he has had here. duress in as
I don't think he has done too badly under Grayson this season, Moyes never gave him a chance, he has missed a chance or two yes, and like a few others needs a goal to boost his confidence, but for me his attitude has been top class and never changed in his time here. I may have missed something, but to brand him a waste of space is a bit harsh imo.
