Thought when he was signed he was a gamble but unlike Hockaday an educated gamble - you don't take a Cypriot side to the last 16 of Europa Cup for the first time in their history without having something about you- still only August and Newport so not going to get too excited but love the fact he wore red trainers and then in the post match interview said he now realised that he shouldn't wear red at Elland Road... think he's getting us

Didn't jump to conclusions Jammy, I agree 90 mins count, but it's same for both teams, Newport went 1-0 up, could've been 2-0, or they could've held on for 1-0 win.

Thing is, our second 11 are not necessarily better than the lower league teams we play, but should be. Noel Whelan said it, first half was appalling and we didn't seem hungry enough, went on to say we had some internationals in the team.

Problem with fielding a second 11 is, they don't, or haven't played together before, or on a regular basis. First half performances like that one could easily see us get knocked out.....and embarrassed......:emoticon-0148-yes:

You can't knock a 5-1 drubbing of any team, that was Newport's cup final, class and quality came through in the end

Wasnt TC looking at buying a gaff in devon(for his missus.) probably save a few quid on flights.
Anyway they concentrate on the league now, after a royal beating.

I must admit, that lineup scared the hell out of me, I expected a cup embarrassment but hats off to them, they pulled it around and it sounds like everyone is fighting for a starting shirt.

Roofe probably wouldn't have started against Forest but he certainly ensured TC got the message with his treble. There is certainly the beginning of a very special feel about everything Leeds at the moment.

When Saiz came on he was different class , every touch and every pass !!! A couple of passes he made from one side of the pitch to the other were brilliant !!!

That was a thoroughly enjoyable match. Nobody seemed too worried when we went behind and it all seemed rather civilised.

Absolute belter of a result. The team were calm even while losing, extremely good sign.

Second team is *far* better than it was last season.

Showed they've got what it takes to come back into a game and I think that Roofe has given Christiansen a decision to make about whether he plays up front.

I think we could definitely do with having someone a bit bigger up front to hold up the ball but playing a 4-4-2 with Roofe up there isn't out of the question.
