So, to sum up. Doncaster Rovers, 1650 appearances & 200 goals between them 2, Hull City Tigers Babies, less than 5 first team appearances between them & no goals. 0. Doncaster Rovers 0 bookings. Hull City Tigers Babies 2 (hashtagdevilemoticonthingy) for 2 bad fouls. Ha,maybe the kids didn't forget their clobbering of Cairney?
Proud to be HCAFC tonight... not one slacker.... great performance form the fans too.... Just got home flicked the TV on and a Few Good Men is on TV, thought it quite apt...
Very entertaining first half, we were the better team and played some really tidy football. Sadly, second half, we were completely outmuscled, but overall the lads did well. Mannion, Batty, Weir and Clackstone stood out. Crowd were brilliant, non-stop Allam out and a brilliant atmosphere, more like it was fifteen years ago.
Of more concern to me are the various foot impediments that might drift out of people's shoes/trainers/flip flops/toe caps etc and on to neighbouring supporters. Let's hope some responsibility reigns, and people wear their verruca socks on Friday night.
Maybe these babies have just restored a little bit of pride in our club. Good for them. Hope Comrade Slut is pleased as well.
In Arab culture, showing someone the sole of your shoe is an insult - even better to hit someone with a shoe. The 'shoes off' thing could be the new tennis balls protest when the gruesome twosome are in attendance.
Yeah, I know. But it could get a bit sweaty and odour unfriendly couldn't it. Cheese and Onion crisps anyone? Not ****ing likely.
Best result all round, young lads get a game, come out of it with credit, no more first team players get injured.
I think the best result would have been a win with them. But it wasn't the most important result, next Friday is obviously much more important.
Team was immense tonight. No heads going down at 2-0, they kept going. More skillful but ultimately outmuscled, never gave up. Good crowd too but a bit whiffy with the shoes off. Worth the trip from aLondon and train due in to King's X after 1. Four bottles of Guinness Extra easing the way.
Was a strange one when the crowd approached the pitch, it looked like the protest we need was about to happen but the problem was the fan who actually went on the pitch was just clowning around which took the sting out of the supporters approaching as nobody really wanted to be the first to follow him on. If he had gone on and just sat in the box a ton more would have followed. Stunning support tonight
