I think it was on cards Wood would leave after Monk left, with Orta/TC also looking at other strikers early, I'd say Wood already made his mind up but kept it a secret for a while. I also think Wood probably worked it out that he may not be a first team regular once he knew we were looking for other strikers. Was being banded around for a while we were looking for a replacement striker if Wood leaves. Personally, I'm glad he's gone cos, we play better attacking football...
how does **** off sound lol jobs don't pay and are depressing and miserable. Rather work for myself than get moaned at constantly.
Also, surprised it hasn't been mentioned but I think we should look at Zohore from Cardiff. Be a real signal of intent, I wouldn't even mind if we spent close to the whole Chris Wood figure on him. Very good striker, quicker than Wood and younger as well. Not necessarily as well rounded but will be better imo.
I hope somebody is smart enough to be playing mind games with Monk and Boro and unsettling one of their players, with no intent of purchase. It would be classic but we would never know, just gives me a warm feeling to think we could be that evil !
You may joke about it, but there's actually a pub in Leeds University campus called 'The Library'. Troo dat! No doubt many parents assume their kids are studying hard when they check in on FB at the library.
