It's impossible to know If LS would decide to walk away. He was obviously told je would have some resources available for transfers and that some players would not be sold and then found this to be untrue. I believe he wants to be a success in English football and ultimately manage a club in the premier league but on current viewing that won't be us. Maybe he would feel better walking away now and being able to hold his head high and laying the blame at the feet of Ehab for not giving him what was agreed than getting the sack when Ehab has a strop one day and doesn't like a comment he might make to the press. He has come here to be a success and won t want a complete failure on his management CV
When Clucas goes everyone is going to moan and blame Ehab about the supermarket being closed. Whereas, he's going to go for close to £20m, 15 times what we paid for him only 2 years ago. We have to accept that. Even in this market I think he's worth about £12m. We're going to get more for him than Wolves paid for Neves and what Watford paid combined for Hughes and Chalobah and all 3 are better players!!
I agree with the comments above... He can leave and hold his head high... if his future employer needs a reference he can purely say Steve Bruce and Marco Silva. The world of football in the UK is acutely aware of Escab Allam and therein lies our problem. Recruitment of playing staff, recruitment of so called management (Recruitment Director and Scout, both failures in their own right) and the shambles that is Hull City... If he walks as bad as it is for the club i'll applaud him for trying to do the right thing. He's a top man and every article you read is about his prowess as a manager, the players seem to like him as do the fans.
I'd readily accept him going to join a PL club with us pocketing £15million or upwards ..... IF we were re-investing substantial money in rebuilding the squad. We aren't though. That's the problem. Looks at Slutsky's face in the interviews; he's close to being broken. Great job Enob.
Has it come to the point where the only management staff we can get are those that don't know about how badly the allams treat people or are unable to get a job elsewhere or simply dont care and are happy to take the money knowing they don't intend on being here long term and don't give a **** about the club and just want the money. Our summer recruitment once again has pitiful against what Is actually needed and I fear for the time when we become the club that nobody wants to come to and players leave on masse to escape the circus that we are with the clowns running the show
Completely agree, that's why I don't have any sympathy for Sluts, he is getting walked all over and hasn't got the balls to tell them to shove it , Knowing most will forgive him if he does **** because it's the Allams fault
Some fans are happier hoping the Allam debt is being paid down, therefore lowering a potential sale price and hastening the exit of the toxic pair of pricks. The ultimate situation we have to strive for. If doing so means watching (or in many cases not watching) a half decent championship team instead of a top championship team, so be it and what a small price to pay.
No denying football is not the real world. And that he's not going to be destitute. Etc etc. Those are not the points and you know it (so why act the clever twat?). He came here full of energy, positivity, hope, etc. It's all draining out of him thanks to the ****-storm Enob oversees.
My concern is that this so called loan from the allams is not getting paid off in a conventional sense and even if it is and they take 20% extra on top. Ehab is still too greedy and will not sell the club for a sensible price because of greed and his total lack of respect for the fans and how we have stood up against them and proved them to be dishonest regarding the statements they have made in the past few years. This summer alone he said our business would be done early and that's definitely not been the case.
I don't know what tax implications there are on repayment of a loan but I believe any other way of taking money out would be taxable. He will obviously do it whichever way costs less.
It would be nice to know what the actual figures are so we can sort of work out how much they need to take/how much they can sell it for. Because it seems to me they're pocketing everything that comes their way and putting very little back into the playing side of it. Which makes no sense from a footballing perspective.
And what if Clucas sees his backside and wants to go and does a Snodgrass on us ? Who do we all blame then ? Will there be Campbellesque chants aimed at Clucas ? As for Colin, I don't believe a word he says.
Actually it was.... the manager at the time left as did many of the players. Scab didn't define whether the activity would be incoming or outgoing. We all missed that..!!
It won't end up like that. Swansea will pay it, I'd be amazed if he doesn't go next week. Everyone knows the fee, they're just trying to get him a little cheaper. We'll probably end up at somewhere around the £18m mark. Alan Nixon seems to believe we've already rejected £15m guaranteed. I reckon we'll be wanting a club record deal.
