Are you blind or stupid Glory? Try reading the 3rd sentence. Might give you a clue as to why he shouldn't go to Burnley
Blind nearly. Stupid no... He will go for the ££££s. We wont be getting promoted any time soon so wont be paying prem wages. He needs to earn his wedge while he can and cant be blamed for that. Take the miney and buy three or four proper players we dont need to wiki.
Articles saying Wood wants to leave, fans looking for excuses / reasons for him not to leave, and as Milkyboy said, fans are thinking like fans. Truth is, if he wants away and is forced to stay we'll have a very upset player who'll basically be no good to anyone, then Jan comes around and he's off. If Radz continues to play games regarding the price, we'll have a very peesed off player who'll be no good to anyone and will be off in Jan, if not very soon. If Radz does the deal around 15 mill, everyone's happy and we can get to work of scoring multiple goals during quite a few matches. IMO, there's more benefits for Leeds than Burnley if we let him go.......
And easy to add that amount in as a bonus in the event of promotion. Get the feeling we’ll have a few here disappointed if he stays. Amazing
As long as all the cash was reinvested in four or five players we have actually heard of it wouldnt be a disaster to sell him at his highest value. If Rad quietly pockets the cash and gets us more wiki players then it would be a disaster.
Getting a 30 goal a season striker will do away with a fair lump of the 15 to 20m even if we can find one at this late stage
Hes on £780,000pa now with 2 years to run. He will be on £1.56m per year for at least 3 years going to Burnley so tops out at £4.68m without bonuses or appearance fees
I don't want him to go... a top and instinctive goal scorer at this level. Let's say we sold him for £15m. At going rates would we get someone as good for the money (assuming that we blew it all on another striker)? Maybe maybe not... but by the time you've factored in that the style of the team seems to require a loan frontman, and that whoever we got would have to hit the ground running... then the chances of us coming out of this with an upside... for this season at least... are very slim. I just think he'll go, and it won't be anybody's fault... just a reflection of modern day british football and, especially, of it's financial structure.
He would be silly not to go to a Prem club this window. Go to Burnley on a 3 year deal and there's a fair chance he will be in the Prem for 3 years. Sign an contract extension at Leeds and he'd have fook all chance of spending 2 minutes in the Prem!!
There you go starting off with something semi sensible and then it really all goes T!TS up in the final sentence. Just try to control that basic instinct you have to be an idiot
Theres an ideal replacement available now, thats why we need to know whats happening. Lassoge scores as many goals every season, not just one season, he also does it in a higher league so. We can have him on loan with half his wages paid for by Hamburg. A no brainwr for me if Wood goes. £15m is January window money then as we dont need it straight away.
