I don't know any of the players my b-i-l shouted at me are like tbh. Maybe though, our German/Spanish/ English/ speaking charmer of a boss might be able to get the most out of German players. They don't tend to travel though.

(A complete lack of forward planning and scouting)
Where are they? I accept he may have had to wait until Sigurdsson eventually left to fund a quality replacement but we are looking at another Championship hopeful. I'm pretty sure Clucas & Chadli were not in our thoughts at the end of last season.
And, where are the players we need in other positions?
Had Siggy stayed would we then have not needed a wide player or two, defensive midfielder and right back? They should have been here by now regardless of Siggy's situation.
He also said, agents are getting in touch, if we had targets we would be getting in touch with them.
A lot of faith was put in Clement to use his contacts from previous clubs to attract new players ... so far we a have a 19 year old development player not considered good enough for his own club &, with Bony being strongly touted to make a come back, possibly not considered good enough by Clement.
It looks like Mesa is not a Clement player and I doubt Wilf is either.
Unless something changes and quickly I can see the Siggy money disappearing into capital projects, board payments and compensation for Clement.
Guidolin was let down last season and the same is happening to Clement.
I'm not looking forward to, 'the players who are right for Swansea weren't available' to be dusted down for use yet again on September 1st.

I am upset, angry and afraid of another season of troubles.

Fully agree. As it's stands I'd put us odds on to go down.

I like Tremmel. He knew his role at the Club, and didn't complain. Excellent pro, and he has a major Cup winners medal to show for it.

I was confining my response to UK, but many others made it to South America.

Mesa will be a great player for you. Very similar to Britton and Allen for you guys.

    Maybe go for Barkley?

This is at odds with what he said in his interview yesterday when he said he expected Siggy to go, something Siggy confirmed when he said he told Clement and Swans officials that he wanted to find a new club at the end of last season, and had his targets in mind. The rest of your post I pretty much agree with. I can't understand why , knowing that Siggy was going to leave, the owners didn't fund signings earlier and recoup the money later from the fee received for Siggy.. It makes you wonder whether the owners have the financial clout to do this but surely must have satisfied the PL on this before they were allowed to take us over.

So basically , Siggy was lying through his teeth when he said , after the awards ceremony , he was happy being with the Swans and if he left it would be because of the owners wishes .

The club never came out and said he was not for sale either.

Clement has also contradicted himself on the events too. Which version do we believe?

What we can agree on is without Gylfi going, there was no money for new players.

"Thanks for making me Player of the Season again. Oh, by the way, I want to leave the club."

No-one would say that, would they?

Swansea fans know the value of a player like him and will be a fan. Don't expect him to create a lot but he's engine in the middle. A decent playmaker ahead of him and you'll be good.
