Had a feeling this was going to happen, after the wolves game, when he was asked about what was happening with Clucas, Slutsky seemed to have gone from the supermarket shut, to "i hope we can keep him"
Almost certainly, but probably a chunk of the profit. If not, 10% of £20m represents a decent amount of money for a League 2 club.
I just checked the Chesterfield forum and apparently it was originally reported as having no sell-on clause, but this was later changed to a small sell-on clause and they think it's only 5%. http://www.thecfss.co.uk/forums/index.php?showtopic=60344
If he does go, that's two in a week gone, Abel and Sam, didn't think it could get any worse than last season, think i maybe wrong there
At this rate of recouping their investment, Assem may be able to hand over City as a gift to the people (yeah, right).
Judging on some of the comments on Swansea forums, Clucas could be heading for his second relegation from the PL in a row.
By all accounts judging by his performances this season Sam isn't settled .. might be the talk of a move or more likely he wants Premier league football.. either way if they are getting to £15m the locks in the supermarket will be tested .. and as is always the case the player and his agent will get what they want .. realistically get as much as we can for him but for the love of god reinvest some of this money .. the squad is none existent as it stands right now .. we have glaring gaps all over it .. C'mon Ehab sort this out ffs
If he goes coupled with the lost of Abel, and we do not bring in any decent players , i can see us being a bottom six club as opposed to a top six one.
If we get offered anything close to 20m you have to accept that , he's decent but that's way overpriced , get straight on the phone to ledley, test the water with Wednesday for foresteri ideal to play the Campbell role at present just behind the forward
£15-20 for Clucas is great business, especially when we have other options in midfield. Meyler, Stewart, Henriksen, Hector, Larsson.. And the 2 injured Evandro, Mason. IF, and its a big ****ing if, the money is reinvested we could put it in the pot and start buying much needed players. Get Musa on a loan with an option to buy at any time.
Does nobody *****ing understand. It doesn't matter what we get for Clucas if it's a good price or not. The money won't be reinvested it will be off it Ehoars back pocket. We can't replace him so selling him for 100 million would be bad business as we will never see it again.
You misunderstand. It's good business (that's what they are running it as). Buy low, sell high. Recoup your "gift" and exit stage left.
If it meant they could sell the club for less I'd be all for it However I worry it might make E think that getting profits from players is easy so he might want to stay around longer
Thing is I'm sure they will still want a preposterously high price for the club - with playing assets worth the square root of bugger all. The twats.
How many times have they had their gift back... that is the question!!! and I don't two flying ***** what the accounts supposedly say.... I guarantee their accountants are on top dollar...
