Good Morning Everyone Leeds were held to their consecutive 0-0 draw of the season last night as Fulham held on to a point. It is probably fair to say that the Cottagers were dominant in the early stages of the game; however as the game went on the home side looked the most likely to score. Chris Wood did have the ball in the net, only for it to be ruled out for offside. To make matters worse, replays show the referee's assistant got the decision wrong. please log in to view this image Fulham had their chances too. A lat gasp challenge by shaughnessy, and a stunning save from Felix kep the scores at statemate. That was not the only tackle the young Irishman made. Lucas Piazon broke his leg following this tackle Were we expecting more from Fulham, everyone's 3rd favourite to go up? What about Saiz? Is he more effective that Roofe? Did the Spaniard look natural i that position? Does TC know his best midfield?
Great performance after the first 20mins we were giving them more than they were giving us. Fulham better team than last season so will be in the mix, we were better overall and very unlucky as we managed to miss more good chances. Linesman should be suspended for being crap, ref also missed or ignored a lot. Alioski, Saiz, O'Kane excellent, defence awesome even though swapped about and nursed by Tommy. Wood unlucky & wasteful not worth £20m, maybe Ekuban should have had a go. Pablo did ok but not a winger. Fair result would have been 3-0 Th efutures bright, the futures white
Morning Elland and all. IMO Saiz is a class ahead of Roofe but maybe the tv is deceptive. Im quite happy with the seasons start. Imagine being a Villa fan, second from bottom this morning and already talking of sacking the manager and a transfer embargo because of ffp. Sounds like us normally
Morning Eire, Saiz is class!!! When he lost the ball, he chased the ball down BUT he was not reckless. Also I don't think he gave away any free kicks.
Villa fans were going mental at half time! Apparently they only completed 26 passes in the first half.
Leeds United midfielder Samuel Saiz has been cleared of wrongdoing after an allegation of spitting by Port Vale boss Michael Brown. Brown claimed Saiz had spat at full-back Joe Davis in the first half of the Valiants' EFL Cup defeat on 9 August. Saiz, 26, scored a hat-trick as he helped Leeds reach the second round. A Leeds statement said: "The player has been cleared of any wrongdoing and the club's support for the player has been vindicated."
Surely that's a bringing the game into disrepute charge against PV or a legal defamation of character charge against Brown - there is quite a lot of evidence
Yes and mud sticks. We even had a few fans on twitter preferring to believe Brown and that Saiz did spit. You know the type of saddo
Now let me think - have we any Leeds supporters who see scary things in dark places and decay in Spring. With all this glory how could you have a chip on your shoulder?
The thing that peed me off over Brown's allegation was the fact that BBC mentioned it every time Leeds were mentioned at the weekend. The Saiz spitting incident. Mud does stick and there will be players out to hurt him for that, so I would like PV or Brown or the player to apologize publicly. Its as bad as Chippy being known as 'that moaning cnut'
Chippy doesn't moan he just has an alternate view. I do think that PV should apologise or the EFL should take action against them, as if ........ Had we done that !!
Not sure how you can say Fulham are a better team than last year, they haven't won a game yet. I bet if Cairney had played he would have scored his obligatory goal against us and we would have lost. Still a lot of work needed if we want autos.
Can we all exercise sensitivity and restraint today and make it a day we don't mention Millwalls 3-4 home defeat and their 1 point out of a possible 9 I know I'm not going to.
So let me understand - glory gets called a moaning C U Next Tuesday ..... and you defend him by saying he doesn't moan
Enjoyed the game, some good football by both teams, if I am totally honest a draw was probably fair. Shaughnessy played himself into the game once he remembered it's rugby that you kick for touch in and not football early on. Tin hat on, I think LL might have a point about this seasons team set up could ruin Wood's season, goal tally wise, but hope I'm wrong. Also think his one on one with the keeper might have been going wide even if he hadn't have saved it, but not watched any highlights yet. All in all a good night, 2 -2 would have been better, only slightly spoilt by the M1 being down to 1 lane in 4 places on the way home
Morning all. Another clean sheet, but another 0-0 draw. Sounded as though we played some good stuff. So nearly all positive from me. I wonder if TC is going to think about 442 with Ekuban playing alongside & feeding off Wood. Sitting 6th in the league with no goals against & away to Sunderland. Should be a good game, hopfully with Klich coming in to bolster the midfield
