Brentford v Bristol City Brentford winger Sergi Canos could feature for the first time this season when they face Bristol City on Tuesday. The Spaniard has missed all three of the Bees' fixtures so far because of an ankle injury. Bristol City left-back Joe Bryan, who played in Saturday's defeat by Birmingham City despite struggling with an ankle problem, is rated as 50-50 for the game at Griffin Park. The Robins are still without injured forwards Matty Taylor and Milan Djuric. Fully expect us to get maximum points tonight,if we play like we did at Brum. Even Brum fans think we should have got at least a point.
Doesn't mean much in my mind - why would our current squad be affected by how two almost entirely different sets of players have gotten on over the past eight years? Brentford have probably over-achieved in recent times and it will be very hard work for them to continue their strong final standings. Two league games in isn't enough to judge any team suitably, but I would think it's more likely than not that they will end up lower than the 10th spot they earned last season and wouldn't be surprised if they were at least ish-involved in a relegation battle this season (though will probably survive). At this stage, I'm still sticking to my 2-2 prediction - snooping on a forum of theirs, there's a real mix of opinions, mostly predicting a draw or win by one for either side, though none thought we'd thump them and a couple predicted they'd thrash us (5-0 and 6-0!).
13:45pm for me in Mexico. Going to be weird following the game on twitter, here and OTIB during peak time here by the pool.
China and Mexico beautiful places, I hope you and yours are having the time of your lives and let's hope the boys give you even more joy tonight.
