Just for you fella. Perhaps not the exact wording. He just caught my eye. Didn't think at the time of writing that some clever bastard would take it in that sense
Why did we change a winning team and formation from beating Notts Forest 2-0? The only change to that squad of players should have been fit again McQuoid replacing N'Guessan who was injured. There was talk before the game of Posh being strong in midfield but if we had played our usual 4-4-2 formation as the home team they should have had to adapt their formation to counteract our strengths, not the other way round. If it ain't broke don't fix it!
SeaLion you are absolutely right m8 4-5-1 at home is crazy and when you have a winning formular like you say why change it
geez! three games into the season and we havent lost yet! seriously get a grip people, so we dropped a couple of points, these things will even themselves out by the end of the season, you can guarantee that there will be games that we have 1 shot on target, it goes in and we win 1-0(hopefully the hamsters) MIIIIIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL
No Wall fan should be moaning. Like Katie said, you are battling against clubs with much bigger resources and you are punching above your weight. I do have grudging respect
I think the complaining simply highlights how highly we rate our side and what we could potentially achieve this season. No one looks forward to the prospect of playing us as we are a tough side to beat. Regardless of our limited spending power compared to other teams we are only a few players short of being a top 6 side COYL!!!
I agree with Reading, I would have taken a point before, but not with P'boro. We mgiht be in a league with big spenders but doesn't mean we cant be disappointed with poor results at home with a defensive formation against a newly promoted team! I don't want anybody's head on a stick at all, just don't think we should line up with a 451 at home against P'boro, and then go to a 4-6-0 when we're winning, it just invites pressure but we've done that for as long as I can remember down the den, very rarely do we really push on for goals (although we had some nice results last year - the games with many goals are just counter attacking games, would be nice for us to properly exert pressure when winning for a change!) Again, not calling for anybodys heads, but i think some mistakes were made, need to keep 2-0 leads. Reading didn't bother me too much, P'boro bothered me more. Lets hope we beat Southampton this weekend!
I agree with this Would also like to point out how outstanding Jimmy has been the last 2 games. He's added intelligent through balls and the odd skill move to his play and he looks fantastic
I've criticised Jimmy in the past but he has played very well this week. Perhaps we could look at re-instating the old firm of Jim and Del and free Tam to help out at the back - because I still think we have four full backs who aren't really up to first choice Championship standard.
i thought we played well enough to win by at least 4or5 on tuesday.if it wasn't for jones we would have.it is time to drop ford ,nearly cost us a goal on on saturday and was ropey against posh.maybe stewart or barron left back and hope n guessen is back from injury for saints game ,we need him back because henderson cannot do it all on his own .seen 1 set of m facts on tuesday's game 19 shots on target ,we still need a c forward with a killer instinct as we are well short of options upfront.
Could say the whole defence tbh - so much focus on goals which still not resolved. A lot of deadwood out but hardly anyone in that isn't injured either.
