Just to provide some balance I also disagreed with OLM a while back when he was sure a deal had been done, and at that time Chazz said I was like a Japanese soldier living in a cave not believing the war was over. On the same day Southampton are sold at a value of over 200 million you all think the Allams will sell now, I don't think there will be new owners any time soon.
I concur. Plenty more pillaging available yet. "If we can get the club to break even for the next two seasons, ignoring parachute payments, then that's £100m in our sky rockets. You want to buy it for how much? £50m? Maybe next year."
Lets hope theyve plundered enough, lowered the price and somebody decent has found a new asking price attractive
What does this all mean for signing players? It would be madness to get any ball rolling officially as we'd be placed under another transfer embargo. Also if the new potential owners are ambitious and want to get back to the prem... surely they wont be happy with letting this transfer window go to waste? We're in for an eventful next 2 weeks.
If it was that far down the line, we'd know far more about what was going on. I suspect any deal would be ahead of the next window, it's too late for this one.
Worse case this squad could get us to January in a decent position, The sale of the club and feel good factor at the stadium would far out way any potential new signings.
Very interesting once again without getting to excited. We've been down this road many times and even if it was anywhere close with the Allan's record they can pull the plug at any time. In some ways you don't want to know until its done but then again its all part of the fun of coming on here. Let's hope something gets sorted very soon and more importantly if it does ever happen then we get very good new owners. We live in hope.
You take it easy fella. You should write a book on your life btw. Or better, dictate and get one of the kids to type it up for ya.
Lets not worry...Rehab will likely up the price at the last second and pi$$ off any prospective buyer. He's got form.
Genuine question about this 'transfer embargo' - I haven't seen other clubs affected by it, e.g. Soton have been signing players this Summer.. Is it a thing?
Could this be a reason Ehab wants to **** off - no last minute transfer window deals for him to strut about and pose for the cameras? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/football...ion-window-shut-premier-league-season-starts/
