Surely take off Routs. At least Abraham can defend set pieces etc?

How desperate are we, a 19 year old debutant with Routs and Ayew leading the line and McBurnie on the bench <doh>

Utter rubbish. A decent team would have stuffed us 4 or 5 nil today. Thank God Southampton are crap in front of goal.

Hope thats our worst performance of the season ! Cos any worse and we're fooked !
Lucky draw there today mainly cos saints couldnt hit a barn door so 28% happy with that effort.
Team needs sorting sharpish now after siggy saga and no strengthening in depth again !

Nothing in the game is of any importance except we're one point better off than last season on teams played. Ever the optimist:emoticon-0106-cryin

Pretty good in defence but theres nothing premiership about the rest of the team. Never seem to give Southampton a game away even the Shelvey winner a few years ago but that performance was as bad as it gets.

Disgrace that the team hasn't been improved, recruitment wise, after scraping survival last season. Bit worried now.

I thought we did OK. Sotton had all the possession and a **** load of shots but only got 2 on target, down to the pressure our defence and supporting midfield put them under I think. I know they missed a couple of sitters but, in truth, so did we.

Olsson and Naughton struggled to get forward because they were constantly challenged in defence so we had no flank to link up with the attack. When we did get the ball up front we gave it away so easily it was a crime.

Thought the middle three, Fer, Carroll and Britton were on defensive duties but I thought Fer in particular was great until his legs went. Because they were so defensive I suppose that's why none linked up at all well with Routledge or Ayew who were isolated and without the ball all game so couldn't feed Abraham. He really did look out of his depth today, hopefully he's a quick study.

Learned how valuable Llorente is to us not just for his goals but mainly for his ability to hold up the ball and be an effective target. Abraham has a long way to go yet. Missed the heart beat of our team, our midfield dynamo and assist machine to to. We especially missed his dead ball accuracy, I feel sad now.

So with all that against us, I'm very happy with a point today.
