I think we have to keep Wood for at least this season. Can't see us getting another striker in who will hit the ground running and get anywhere near the same amount of goals as he will in our team

Now I wouldn't be surprised if there was interest from premiership clubs in the championship's top scorer, it's only you it seems that doesn't rate him. Or say to Wood you are going nowhere until at least January. See where we are and how realistic promotion is. If it's unlikely we agree to sell at a reasonable price, if we are right in the mix you stay and honour your contract - either way he gets Prem football and money and we don't disrupt what we have built so far. Doesn't strike me as the type to sulk and he gets the rewards if he continues to score and play well.
