Son being available is massive news. I've got a feeling he's going to tear the league to shreds this year.
No clip of the full press conference yet (only a 2 min snippet about a specific Spurs player < guess who > ) .
He despises them. They know it. Levy won't speak to them either. If it wasn't for Danny Rose we'd be quieter than a monastery of Trappist monks. Unfortunately, it just encourages them to manufacture stuff. Speaking of "I know what I'm worth", the last player to really stick it to the club was Stephen Carr whose time at Newcastle didn't bring the medal collection he envisaged. I wonder if he knew what he was worth?
At least when Carr said it he didn't sound like a money grubbing twat, given he was the team's best player but on something like three grand a week - which was less than dross like Ben Thatcher or Oyvind Leonhardsen were getting paid.
As always, apologies for the oxygen thief at the beginning who wastes all the time (WTF the other hacks do nothing about him, is beyond me) .
Leonhardsen... the player my dad despised. Not because of his ability (or lack of), but because as a kid I was adamant I wanted his name printed on my shirt for my birthday. "Roo, are you sure you don't want someone with a shorter name?" "No dad, why's that?" "No reason." Later realized it was because the name print was almost as much as the ****ing shirt!
I think this is going to be a very tough game for us. Newcastle will be well up for it and pushed on by their huge support. The defeat here last time will help us to have the right mind set and hopefully set the record straight.
You wait, we're all taking the piss out of Chelsea right now. We'll end up getting done 5-1 again tomorrow. Spursy.
Fate might take hand if Sissoko plays. Often when there's a player who's left a team goes back in a Spurs shirt we suffer a defeat. I'd prefer him NOT to play.
Think I wanted Sheringham on my first kit. My Dad checked how much it was and I didn't even get a choice of a shorter name, not even just a number, I had to settle for my Mum sewing in my name on the back of the collar like all the rest of my clothes
Your local bus depot must be a hell of a lot funnier than mine... That explains the sheer number of people with TEDDY on the back of their shirts...
Literally cannot wait for the game today! Although I'm slightly concerned that 1st game syndrome could get the better of us like it has with Chelsea and Liverpool. Need to give Newcastle a proper welcome back to the premier league. High press from the start, quick out the blocks, and a decent end result. We can't afford a slow start to this season like the last two. COYFS!!
