They can smell money (actually, that's just Van Dijk stinking up the place).

Beating the greatest club side in history? Rangers have only been around for like 5 years.

No I agree, they aren't worth the hassle of banning and are so ridiculous as to be entertaining.

Celtic fans <laugh>, even more deluded than Scousehampton thinking anybody outside of their clubs cares about their history. They should.stick to fishing around their own coasts cos there are no bites to be had here.
I know I shouldn't laugh just in case it was some horrible childhood accident (other than being born Scottish of course) that causes them to come here all the way from 1967 to big up their pub team, but it did make me chuckle

I think to Jo Bloggs in Europe Celtic are seen as a bigger club. Most people wouldn't even know what a 'Southampton' is tbf.

Translation, "they maybe utterly ****, and have a worthless league. But we should support them in a patronising manner"

It is true that most Europeans can't even pronounce Southampton, no matter how many times you say it.

Matthew LeTissier, on the other hand, just rolls off the tongue.

Historically of course they're a bigger club. But in footballing terms, joining Southampton is a (big) step up.

"The atmosphere generated by the fans in Southampton’s stadium for our visit was the most impressive I’ve ever witnessed. The grounds of Liverpool and Manchester United are good and the hostile feeling of playing against Real Madrid in the Bernabeu is also excellent, but the atmosphere against Southampton was the best."

"I’ve been fortunate to play in some great stadiums in Europe with Barcelona but none compare to St Mary's. The atmosphere their fans create make it a very special European night of football."

It's not about who is bigger, but i'm sure that most countries broadcast the Premier League, so we are probably more well known around the world than Celtic currently.

Meh. He never played at The Dell, where players would say they could actually smell the piss as it dripped down the terraces.
