Sky and all its pundits still falling for the line of 'When Barca want their man, they always get him'. That's so 2014. Barca agreed a contract with Veratti behind PSG's back - PSG (bless 'em, hope they come in for Ford one day: £80m at most to them) simply said **** off. The times, they are a re changin', and Sky are so behind the curve.
Liverpool 'step up interest in Gremio forward Luan' as Reds send scouts to watch Brazil star Philippe Coutinho could miss the start of the season - ramping up speculation his Anfield future is shrouded in doubt.
Awww don't be like that I only got a bite and ran with it... And nobody can deny it plenty of fish came to the surface seems this Couts stuff is important to you guys
You sound like a saints fan there. Just sub in Chelsea for psg and vvd for coutinho, off for Barca and **** knows who for veratti
Interesting comments from Rose. Want it to play up north at some point. Want to win a trophy and if opportunity comes to join club then wouldn't have issue voicing his thoughts to Spurs. Only has 1 big contract left and wants to make most of it. Wants a pay rise when renegotiate contract because feels he should be paid what he deserves.
Chiefs open to letting Philippe Coutinho join Barcelona 05:00: Apologies. It is looking very much like a Philippe Coutinho kind of day. Spanish newspaper Marca are sensationally reporting that Liverpool chiefs are actually HAPPY to let him go for the right price. And, instead, the stumbling block is manager Jurgen Klopp. Klopp is desperate for his star playmaker to remain at Anfield and it is he who will need the most persuading if Barcelona want to tie up a deal. Diego Costa would be better than Philippe Coutinho 04:40: That's the view of Manchester United legend Phil Neville. Speaking on Sky Sports, the retired defender said he thinks Chelsea's Diego Costa would be more useful to Liverpool than Philippe Coutinho. "I think if they got £100m, reinvested and say bought Diego Costa or someone like that," he said. "That would give them a better chance of winning the league than probably having Coutinho in the side.
Whoever you support, the transfer window will be warming up massively soon.....we're in the last 3 weeks and the amount of money sloshing about Europe is mind blowing. Some big names for big money and some bargains still to be had. If we sell Couthino we must use it or we will go backwards....we probably already were without his sale and no other new faces. £90m and Rafinha for Couts Rose, VvD for £100m? £40m for Costa All areas covered with a few million to spare
Of course it's only an opinion, I'm hardly going to have insider info about Coutinho ffs The difference with Suarez was that Barca made him aware that they'd wait 12 months, and he accepted that scenario. I don't think Coutinho could bank on the same scenario, Barca need someone now, if it isn't going to be him then I fully expect that they'd move on to another target. Therefore if the player wants the move he's going to have push for it to go through this month.
Coutinho isn't going to replace Neymar anyway so the idea that they only want him now or will move on just shows they don't actually rate him This is also backed up by them valuing him at about £80m when Liverpool value him much higher Not a very convincing pitch by Barca; "come now on the cheap as a PR distraction or we're not bothered for you"
They've offered £90m love, on the cheap! Having a prime target but then moving on if you can't land him is #standard in the game (unless you're Klopp who appears to have one choice or "we'll go with what we've got" lol) Probably a daft question given that it's to you, but do you think you'll manage to hold onto him this window?
