That's not a marquee signing ffs A marquee signing is a well known player joining a club. Kante wasn't that back then. A marquee signing could be on a free so isn't really related to cash tbh. Ruud Gullit and Vialli to Chelsea were both free transfer's. Sami Khedira to Juventus, also free. I'd say your biggest 'Marquee signing' was Cambiasso, he was even on a free (I think?).

I'll be honest mate he doesn't look like he's up to the standard required, but we'll give him time. There's plenty of top players who have looked like **** at some point. As for paying over the odds, a product is worth what the buyer is willing to pay. A drop in the ocean really to us but I can see why you guys would struggle to swallow it.

Amen, Bruv! Part of me doesn't want us to buy a Billy Big Bollox player. I've said it before, but getting a "name" into the club would give them the impression that they have an automatic right to slot straight into the first XI, when that clearly cannot be the case. I like the fact that we can spot a Dele Alli playing in the lower leagues, and turn him into the most prized youngster in World footy. I want Poch to do more of that. Let's win things the Spurs way.
