Body language at the end suggested that he is on the way out although with dignity Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
To be quite frank we don't need him, thought those back four played very very well today, plus Baker and Moore as well.

I noticed that Flint was missing from the squad tonight straight away. Maybe things have turned sour? My Swindon mates are loving it - saying 'soon you'll realise why we hate him so much....' I sincerely hope it doesn't end in tears - but I do support the policy of dropping a wantaway player - if he wants to go we need to get rid ASAP. If he wants to stay then he should pull his finger out and fight for his place.
Bristol City are going to get a significant return on the player. That adheres to the "Bring them on, sell them on" club pillar. It is in the clubs interests to sell Aden Flint right now. Bristol City fans have several seasons to evaluate Aden Flints ability. He has been a considerable success. An oddity capable of defying normal football logic. Players and teams should not score that many from corners as Aden Flint and Bristol City did. That's his very positive memory.
I think in many ways we're in an excellent position, due to us having many good options in defence and him having a long time on his contract. Whilst I'm generally not a fan of a player not making himself available in an attempt to force a move, if there was a cordial conversation between him and LJ in which he said he didn't want to risk getting injured ahead of a move and LJ agreed, in as much as being mindful of the club risking missing out on the transfer fee, then that's understandable. It would be interesting to know what's gone on behind the scenes. I've always been realistic in knowing that players understandably want to reach the highest level they can, but moving to Birmingham at this moment in time doesn't strike me as being much of a step up. Hindsight can make fools of us all, so perhaps they will be near the top of the table come the end of the season, but I think we have an excellent chance of finishing above them again, so perhaps it's as much to do with him significantly increasing his wages, possibly even a signing on bonus and moving a bit closer to home. I think it would take quite a bit for this to get to the point that he's on the fans' bad side and it would be sad if it did. Provided we get a good fee, I think everyone involved can be happy, though I can see myself feeling a tinge of regret every time he thumps in a header whilst wearing somebody else's shirt...
He was dropped so he could still be available for Birmingham in their league cup games. People are making more of this than what it actually is. I'd imagine he won't be featured in the Brum game either.
We are of to watch the game on Saturday, would love to see Flint playing for Brum, and we beat them on their own pitch.
Flint has been a good servant for the club. Despite a dodgy start, with a few silly mistakes that cost us points, he's turned out to be a fine defender and his goal scoring exploits of the title winning campaign will long stick in the mind. He may see Brum as a step up as they are a bigger club and working with Redknapp may be attractive for both football and tax planning reasons! We have plenty of options now and I'd sure like to see Mags and Moore getting some more game time, especially as Wright seems to be the main anchor now who can help protect them.
I have said it before.. He has attributes that we will miss when he has gone! He also has weaknesses that appear to be better covered in players we already have at the club. Stop dragging to out and let him get on! I will remember him fondly.
Should of been a winger I don't think anyone (maybe one then) will be glad he's gone, I suspect some will be relieved that it's over, but only because no one likes to prolong the inedible. I've had the pleasure of watching some fantastic defenders over my time supporting the club. But to me his passion and love for this club is second to none.
