I would be far more interested in chelsea buying ndidi. That guys a real gem

However, I suspect that we can dip into our academy and find a young RB eager to step up to the mark.

Might as well have kept nathan chalobah, he's got far more potential and i reckon he's already about the same level as drinkwater. The only thing drinkwater is good at is being filthy

I like him as a squad player. Agree though it's odd to have let Chalobah go but I think he was keen to leave. RLC is the one I find more odd.

What's the fee meant to be?

 

Hopefully a packet of wotsits and a curly wurly......that's all I'd pay.

 

Drinkwater and Chalobah/Loftus-Cheek are at different stages of their careers. Drinkwater will probably be happy to be a squad player in a bigger team while the two younger players want to get regular first team football - to be able to progress and prove themselves. Fair play to both of them wanting to play more...

Drinkwater won't be a terrible signing as he will do a decent job coming into the team (especially partnered with Kante again), won't kick up a fuss having minimal game time and being the 4th choice CM.

 

Yes but if we're going to get Danny as a squad player, then don't pay 37m for him, especially as we let matic go for that. If we wanted a steady eddy squad players might as well just have nicked darren fletcher.

Don't rate RLC at all. He's got the size but not the speed/acceleration. His shooting ain't great, his touch and awareness isn't brilliant either (real hit and miss imo) and people only like him because he's massive. I rated chalobah much higher

i thought thats what i read for transfer fee when someone chucked some twitter gossip out. Can't say i've been following it if i'm honest. Tried google just now and didn't see anything so i may be wrong.

 

£37M for Danny Drinkwater, Jesus ****ing wept.
