Apart from abject crawling (which no one would expect) he would never play for Saints again. Would we trust him in front of goal...like hell we would....so all that's left is does he sit out till January or do we sell him (at his request so no bonus) to ABL.

As I said the guy that told me about Van Dijk said it was basically only the fee stopping him going and how much Van Dijk wanted to go.

 

So, if he is so fussed about European football, why leave Celtic in the first place? ****ing greedy ****er.

He's an absolute arse. Trying to call you the bad guys. If he'd put his transfer request in at the start then there would have been plenty of negotiations with the big clubs. How can you blame the club not negotiating if you haven't written to leave thereby negating your bonus

In fairness whilst it is likely a well crafted piece of spin the point on his injury putting things into perspective could partly ring true

A small stamp on the foot by a thuggish fellow pro has put him out for 6 months. Who knows what could happen. Wasn't there also a player for a Dutch team who collapse and got brain damage recently.

This said it is probably spin. And if that was his position he should have relinquished the captaincy at the end of the season and put a transfer request in then

 

But the comments about how he was made out are different to what he's saying...

Who knows what to believe. It just seemed his statement was rather scathing towards Southampton.

 

Honestly can't remember where I read it. And it may well be bollox but I do remember nearly dropping my beer when I read it....

 

One thing he failed to mention in his Dear John letter is how his stupid management/agent failed to mention to senior staff @ Saints when he signed his lucrative new contract only last summer that his intention was to play for a "bigger" club,would have made this debacle so much more easier if only he had said just what his statement said. #bellend

Not sure where all the stuff about refusing to train comes from.

We all know he didn't refuse to train and I don't think it was ever reported that way.

I wonder what the conversations with senior staff he says he's disappointed to have leaked are?
