Roque santa cruz?

There's banter about today (SS transfer centre) that Roque is willing to consider moving to a championship club....
assuming we fail to get a decent striker in I would say he's certainly better than Shola as another option to fill out the ranks.
Could be worth a punt initially on a loan basis?

 

Defo worth aloan with an option to buy for a reasonable amount (5mill, say). Not sure what his wages are, though, they could cause problems.

He's certainly better than Shola and Lover, and probably better than Best. I'm not sure if he'd be able to find his original Balckburn form, but it'd be worth a punt if we fail with Maiga and other targets.

 

too old and injury prone for me to want him to sign on permanent but i think he'd bring something to the table on loan. although he's very similar to Ba.

 

I like him, he's a terrific player. Would I sign him for our ranks? No despite him being better than anything we've got by quite a stretch. Problem is his knees are shot and you know he'll miss a boat load of games. I think we need someone we can rely on because they are gonna have to shoulder a big burden this season. If he is was in addition to another striker, defo a yes. But his wages will be healthy and I'd imagine he does not really appeal to the hierarchys transfer policy.

 

Not much point discussing it, he's on mad wages and too old for Ashley, (he likes boys! Catholic prist style) He seems past his best now unfortunately as I really rated him at Munich and Blackburn
