What about Sir Ranulph Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes ..... what a tosser. "We went to one of the coldest places on earth and I got frostbite." Well what a f.ucking surprise you pompous old twat.
Editor’s Note: Every Saturday (or Sunday depending on the match day) we will be running a feature where we will talk about issues facing the club and football in general in an upfront manner. Political correctness and sugarcoats have no place here. Don’t @ me. Sunderland’s vestigial fanbase is shrinking. Compare that to the uptick in Newcastle United fans who remained loyal throughout the relegation period, and the Championship title campaign that transpired after. Says a lot about Sunderland’s fans in general. There’s only one good team left in the North East, and that’s Newcastle United. You heard it here first, and you’ll hear it tomorrow, and the next day, and the next day. Funny how Sunderland was so quick to boast about their safety and our relegation two seasons ago, only to have one of the worst seasons in the history of the Premier League afterwards. The only difference is, our fanbase has always been there. Sunderland’s is shrinking. And the only good team for them to support now would be Newcastle. It would take some balls for some of them to make the switch. But let me make the message clear: We don’t want you. Newcastle United fans are among the most passionate, loyal, and I believe friendly fanbases. Yeah, things get heated, but we didn’t fly a banner over Sunderland’s last match to gloat about their woes. We just sat and laughed hysterically at home because let’s face it: it’s hilarious. Newcastle United fans are known for loyalty. And while I’m all for attracting new fans to the club to grow the base, and in general, Newcastle’s revenues, it has to be said: Just not from Sunderland. I think this guys missed the point Tell me the last time we lost against the mags
On Chris Eubank: "This included the time that Eubank invited a tramp to live in their Brighton home. The hapless vagrant soon left, explaining that he preferred life on the streets to having Eubank in his ear." Haha!
Council in Farnborough where I live are looking at shutting down my local golf course (southwood) and granting developers permission to build 2500 New homes. If the council grand the permission for the build, the developers will turn the golf course into a parkland for the newly built residents of said 2500 homes and give up £10,000,000 towards council funding. Be nice for all those Nepalese and immigrants to move into with grants from the council donated by the developers. Something definitely not right there.
I heard this 'rumour' a couple of months ago and it will be a shame to see the golf course close, although I'll be long gone (moved) before it happens It would appear that our council are just bowing to the developers needs as there is an inordinate amount of redevelopment in and around Farnborough and not all of it is good.
Justi gatlin wins 100 meters then he's booed Why IMO only because he was a failed drug tester two times. Am I right
Yes, big shame if it happens. We have a meeting Tom night to see how and what we can do to save it. Loads of ideas coming in but we will have to wait and see if the council can be influenced by whatever support we can muster.
