Hence the reason I got out. Used to love England, honestly can't say what its like now but it was horrible when I left.

One of the most memorable matches I ever attended was a Partick Thistle match with my youngest, who must have been about 10 at the time. Can't even remember who the opposition was. What made it memorable was a row of gay fans close to us, and their antics. We were in absolute stitches from beginning to end. I have heard some abuse in my time on the terracings, but never like this. It was your usual football abuse, but delivered in the shrillest, campest voices you've ever heard, and viler language than I could ever hope to achieve (and I'm world class!). And yes, when you looked over, many were indeed delivering the abuse Larry Grayson style, with hand on hip & the other one limp-wristedly pointing at whatever they were abusing.

And do you know what? I and the rest of the crowd loved them & agreed with every vile word they uttered. Bottom line, they were fans, had a voice, & used it. No favours sought or granted. No abuse aimed at them (although they earned it from the opposition). Would this happen at ER? If down to the fans, no problem at all. Their problem would prolly be the stewards who would chuck them out for their behaviour.

Good to hear you enjoyed that particular match day experience WJ.

Will you be emailing [email protected] to invite them to the next meet up ?

And elland will you be contacting them with an invite onto our boards ?

Things could do with freshening up a bit on here...although I guess for some the Millwall ping pong is all the excitement they can handle.

I do enjoy the odd bit of ping pong Eric...it's just the long rallies that grind me down.

Can't see anything but a home win for Bolton in this.
Leeds far weaker than the team that only won 1 of their last 8.
Bolton far stronger than the team that won 8 of their last 12.

Bolton under the management of the experienced Phil Parkinson, Leeds with a rabbit staring in the headlights.

    3-0 Home win <ok>
