Maybe. Can be damaging though esp with a Manc journo with an agenda. Also you quoted my post and I got no notification lol. You in stealth mode
But here's the point - it's Barca: the same Barca that ****ed us right up the ****ter over Luis (and masch too, for that matter). They made it seem like they were doing us a favour three years ago, then immediately crowed to the press about how they only actually paid £65m and forced us to pay the agent's fee. And now they're wittering about how much respect they have for us (despite 'agreeing' a contract with Ford behind our back), and how they fear they'll be 'priced out' of a deal, even getting their poodles at Sky, via the Catalan press, to warn Ford that it's this year or never in a calculated effort to get him to strike. Well, at the risk of Soton fans getting hysterical at the admitted hypocrisy, it's payback time. The wheel has turned - we don't need the money, and we don't have to sell. We most certainly owe them no favours, and although every pound over £100m will be clawed back by whatever next club we have to buy an eventual replacement from (unless we do the Anny Rd tier as I said -why not?) we have a ****ing moral duty to extract every bit of that £198m we can that they got, or are getting, for Neymar. And so what if they walk away? We get to keep a slightly miffed Ford for another year, and sell him to PSG for £90m next summer, at worst. This isn't about a win-win deal at all. We win no matter we do (unless we get silly and give in to Barca and their media hirelings): it's just a matter of how much we want Barca to lose by. £135m seems like a good starting point for me, and then we can release a statement saying how much we 'respect' them.

ok so... gomez and milner train so they are available Matip played about 60 mins and klavan 90. we could go mingolet flanagan (thought why) gomez klavan miner/robertson Wijnaldum lallana Grujic mane? solanke kent? I think theres a few questions to answer today. who needs minding... etc etc. Who played more yesterday. Is can ready to play. he gave 45 yesterday. mane was 45.... coutinho, firmino and salah all played at least an hour. TAA was nearly the whole game. moreno was too. henderson and all...
I think Robertson will start at LB over Milner. Milner's not had much of a pre-season due to injury and Robertson needs to hit the ground running to compete with Moreno / start ahead of him.
#LFC side tonight: Ward, Flanagan, Gomez, Klavan, Milner, Can, Wijnaldum, Lallana, Woodburn, Mane, Solanke
#LFC subs v @Atleti: Karius, Mignolet, Firmino, Origi, Henderson, Grujic, Robertson, Matip, Kent, Ejaria, Alexander-Arnold.
Maybe, but I don't think Athletico will be as bad as Bayern were last night. Maybe Klopp saw Athletico kick lumps out of Bayern and thought differently about playing a lot of the first team players
