Bet they couldn't John!! Sorry to hear you've not had a good day. It's one thing discouraging the young generation/future generation of City fans with lack of concessions etc., but another enticing them to a special event and rubbing their noses in it. Appalling.
The players that impressed me today where.. max Clark, hector, clucas, Hendrickson( carnt ****ing spell it) Aina, Dawson
The Grandson enjoyed the training but was very disappointed about not getting the signatures. Though he picked up, I took him into McDonalds in town for lunch, and as they live in Pock now don't come into Hull often, but as soon as he saw the water feature in Victoria square that was it for 2 hours, had a whale of a time.
I don't understand why they didn't just stop people joining the queue like Theme Parks do. Then everybody that was in it, would have still got their signatures and photographs and anybody coming late could have been moved on.
Well For 2,000 people to get autographs, say there was 20 players there, each player would have to sign 100 So 2,000 is jusy not possible But if half of them got turned away, surely there'd be even more uproar.. Somethings just can't be done
Those that did, most were parents or grandparents with kid, as I was, so probably less than half that would have queued actually wanted anything signing. IMO if they had split the players up into 4 groups of 5 players, then just said to the people there you can just get 5 signatures and split the people queuing evenly between the 4 groups, everyone would have gone away reasonably happy with their signatures.
Good call. This is how they did it last time by splitting the players into three rooms across the stadium and you had to choose which you wanted to go to as you'd only have time for one.
It's not that difficult is it. If you're going to do something do it right. If you can't do it right you're better off not doing it.
That was my thought as well. Even 2 groups of players with the senior players split evenly would have solved the problem. Just bad planning.
Some great pics of the kids. Though I do like the pic of the bloke with the bike t shirt. https://www.hullcitytigers.com/news/articles/2017/201718-open-day-gallery/
Should have gone to Breastival in Cott the other week Rory and Meyler were there for ages doing photos and stuff. David came across very well
The letter A makes such a difference.....I was thinking he was a new player I had missed.....maybe another one from Shrewsbury or Hereford or some other world beaters.
It seemed to be well attended by families which was good. Its a pity the allams didn't see it because I would suggest that this is where their future customers will come from. Shame then that this vindictive pair haven't don't anything about the concessions because I would think that half those kids wont be at games as parents cant afford it. This was the one chance to attend because it was free.
So to get this straight, people queueing were told, in advance, that they weren't likely to get autographs but they continued to queue anyway and then didn't get autographs? And this is the club's fault?
